Has anyone successfully setup Datum on a nostr:npub126ntw5mnermmj0znhjhgdk8lh2af72sm8qfzq48umdlnhaj9kuns3le9ll with Core?
Finding mixed info on whether it can work or not. In the Datum docs it says Knots is preferred but Core will work.
In Start9 it says Knots is a prerequisite for Datum but after installing Datum there is a prompt for a config update for Core from StartOS to make it work. When I apply it I get an error and it doesn’t work…

The DATUM service on StartOS is only compatible with the Knots service on StartOS. This is only specific to StartOS (for now), and the reason the docs might be a bit confusing. The StartOS instructions are the correct instructions though.
You know, it's not just a device or operating system, it's a journey and you can learn so much on the way. Go for it!
Another ~1.5 TH added to the network. Thank you so much nostr:nprofile1qythwumn8ghj76twvfhhstnp0faxzmt09ehx2ap0qythwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnp0faxzmt09ehx2ap0qqstg6dv8x3yneywftrl59yvrrxtf9h354lp7z4ncyx0x3ld30r3gcs95lg5t and nostr:nprofile1qyg8wue69uhh2mtzwfjkcw358q6rsqgdwaehxw309ahx7uewd3hkcqpqqvwdl9rp7a5ghrxv57wnml5ehg2whjh708vys6kaxpkgu0z3aclsehcjlh for this beauty.

StartOS runs fine on a raspberry, it's just that a Pi is not sufficient anymore to run Bitcoin Core. You can run other more lightweight services just fine though.
keep fighting 💪
I've been using this on my startos node for a while now. works great! I have one request though, when enabling pushtx on the Q then this is the only option to sign a tx. Would be great if we could press the QR button to switch to qr mode or use the sd card, even when pushtx is enabled.
I would stop LND/AlbyHub while the chain is still syncing to save some cpu/ram resources. They won't work until the chain is fully synced.
there is the official marketplace, currated and fully tested by the start9 team. There is a community marketplace, currated and somewhat tested by the start9 team. You can also side-load your own packages. And with 0.3.6 the ability to self-host a registry on your start9 node.
Anyone running nostr:nprofile1q9z8wue69uhnvmr9dp58jernwf6xsct8d45hxdn4w5m8gatrdej8v7nhxa3h2cnsw94ksanc09unw6n0d9hkxdp4d44hxu35v4skgtn0de5k7m30qy88wumn8ghj7mn0wvhxcmmv9uq3zamnwvaz7tmwdaehgu3wwa5kuef0qyd8wumn8ghj7mn0wd68ytn6v43x2er9v5hxxmr0w4jz7qg4waehxw309aex2mrp0yhxgctdw4eju6t09uq3wamnwvaz7tmjv4kxz7fwdehhxarj9e3xzmny9uq3wamnwvaz7tmjv4kxz7fwdehhxarj9e5kuen09uqzq44xkafh8j8hhy79809wsmv0lw46nu4pkwqjyp20ekml80mytde8e2sa8d OS know how to dismiss the update notification for Bitcoin Core if you are running Knots?

you can't (yet). this will be fixed with 0.3.6 that will have native support of different service 'variants' and can deal with updates of different variants properly.
You need an account only if you want to use the faucet for some free tBTC. This is done to prevent abuse from bots. Here's an alternative faucet: https://testnet4.info (still requires authentication with either a github, discord or X account, also to prevent abuse).
Is it bad to tip someone real bitcoin for running a testnet faucet? 😅
Thanks nostr:npub14mgq3zmg7wc4g5exw6yztlfaypapcvee06quc5msdqujpa6e5d4sztw00t for https://testnet4.info !
At your service 🫡
That's actually a much better setup. You can use a webcam and hw wallets, and not running webtop/sparrow on the server saves some cpu/memory as well.

CloudFlare Tunnel updates on nostr:npub126ntw5mnermmj0znhjhgdk8lh2af72sm8qfzq48umdlnhaj9kuns3le9ll , does it change any anything that would make me have to reconfigure my tunnel? Want to confirm before updating.
No changes needed, all the recent updates are to keep in sync with the cloudflared client.
ah, you can right click anywhere in a folder and enable "show hidden files", that should at least show you the ".sparrow" folder. But uploading/downloading from the /config folder (or 'Downloads') should work too a.f.a.i.k.
