Just a Bitcoin Lizard trying to gobble up some sats.

Looks like March of 2024 was the first one i listened to, guest was Eric Voskuil.

I think you make mostly strawman arguments, at least on social media. I don't know who is supposedly saying that Lightning is the "one and only" scaling solution. It only "works well for 1% of users" is just plain nonsense. Maybe only 1% meet your Bitcoin Purity standard of completely self hosted Lightning infrastructure. A custodial solution with a small amount of spending Bitcoin is Lightning working for many more than 1% of users.

By the way, I just zapped you from my self hosted (not node in a box) Core Lightning node and I receive zaps with my self hosted BTCPay Server.

"Starting to believe" - Uh, you have been negative on Lightning for as long as I can remember. Half of your podcast episodes are you sympathizing with big blockers. Maybe your Nostr persona just started to believe this cause your X and podcast personas have been talking about how "Lightning doesn't work" for years.

I think pretty dead but that is okay. Been off twitter for months and more productive just popping in here a couple times a day.

I love this timeline.

https://blockonomi.com/ben-bitboy-armstrong-arrested-in-florida-on-fugitive-warrant/

Crypto influencer Ben 'BitBoy' Armstrong was arrested in Florida as a fugitive from justice after allegedly sending threatening emails to a judge.

I find the fact that at one time this guy had a much larger following than any #Bitcoin influencer very concerning for the future of mankind. How dumb is the majority of the population? I think I don't want to know the answer to this question.

I thought Nic Carter said it best on his podcast. The people that are grumbling about price right now are telling on themselves. We are so obviously winning with recent regulatory changes and obvious government debt issues that will have to be addressed with money printing. People that are complaining clearly don't believe in #Bitcoin and are just looking for fiat gains.

Anyone have thoughts on monitoring systems to monitor my self hosted infrastructure? I host roughly 20 servers plus network equipment. I'm currently using Nagios but i would like something that has history graphs. I would require it to be self hostable and idealy open source. If I could reuse my Nagios configuration files that would be a plus.

Practically all the vegetables people eat today because they were told their whole lives they were healthy, NEVER existed in nature. They were created in labs (or bioengineered through selective farming) by humans to be sold.

And every single one of them is toxic for us.

Just clumps of indigestible fiber full of defense chemicals, that turn straight into sugar in your gut, and contain ~zero bioavailable nutrition.

Vegetables are straight up bad for you👎

What about fruit? I would assume if this is true fruit would want to protect itself by similar means.

Sideswap or Aqua are great because of swaps. Sideswap is Liquid and On Chain Bitcoin. Aqua supports the same but with the addition of Lightning support.

I think more so it's just not a compelling product offering. Any of the other major steaming providers have better regular content and offer occasional extras like NFL games. I think Apple expected all of the Apple fanboys to subscribe just because they usually buy Apple stuff but that hasn't been the case.

You are probably right about this because I don't see any other fundamental difference between Krux and Seedsigner.

ElementX is the new one that leverages new features on the home servers to load recent messages very quickly. I haven't tried it yet. Still using the original Element client that sometimes loads new messages slowly, especially in busy rooms.

Continuing to kick the can is going to have major consequences for future generations, we need a massive decrease in government spending yesterday. Yes, there will be consequences for people that receive government assistance but I'm more worried about future generations and the United States as a going concern. The US government is such a bloated blob that you need to reduce its size with a sledgehammer. You can't reduce the size systematically. Unfortunately there will be consequences for some. Don't blame Trump/Elon, blame past politicians that ran up a massive bill and passed it on to future generations.

Ha! Good luck with that. The EU countries are incredibly hostile to tech companies despite the fact that they build basically nothing tech related in the EU. European tech entrepreneurs leave the EU to build their products because of this hostility.

Email has devolved into a centralized good old boys club. If you host your own good luck with reliable delivery to the big providers.
