Another major bonus: Since #Coracle allows you to set a minimum WoT score to see notes, it actually makes the global feed usable.
Yep, and fake follows don't do you a damn bit of good, since they don't affect WoT score at all.
That’s so cool. I hadn’t seen that yet. Would love to see this in Damus nostr:npub1xtscya34g58tk0z605fvr788k263gsu6cy9x0mhnm87echrgufzsevkk5s
Will put bounty sats for it to easily filter scammers. 🧡
Your WoT score for me, btw:

This is dynamic for each user, too. So you will have a different score for every user on Nostr. The score above is based on how many people I follow who also follow you, vs how many people I follow who have muted you.

Real Jimmy Song:

Web of trust fixes this. I literally see zero of these impostors on #Coracle
Fascinating study by nostr:npub1n3sjlzmhpu8rl56umtptc4lua6zkretq2p82yhytnmlcuq639vlqd0te5l
“Part of what shapes identity and behavior in America--surprise surprise--is political orientation. Our political divide seems not only to be deepening, but also becoming the most important fact about identity, the one that trumps all others. So we polled it 5 different ways: What we found was definitely our most shocking result. Like most everyone on this app, our critics in the media, academics who write about bitcoin, and almost all politicians, we thought #bitcoin ownership would skew towards the political right, and towards libertarianism.
Wrong!”
My guess is that this study includes a whole lot of shitcoiners who also own Bitcoin.
BOLT12 could go a long way, but there is still the issue of needing to be always online to receive, and managing liquidity, which many struggle to wrap their minds around, let alone want to deal with.
There are automated liquidity management services, but they have costs associated with them, and users often end up getting hit with unexpected on-chain fees, because they don't understand how liquidity works.
Lightning is incredible, but UX for self-custody has a long way to go, and some of the problems I am unsure whether there are possible solutions for, because they are related to the fundamentals of how Lightning works.
What do you suppose the % is of people receiving zaps to a self-custody wallet, and zapping from self-custody?
I would wager is it somewhere around 1% already, ecash or not, and I doubt that is going to change unless some massive leap is made that suddenly results in self-custody lightning being 1000% more approachable.
This. Need to have AR AND AK variants. We don't discriminate round here.
Interesting... Not sure what could take that long, unless it is loading the icons each time the app is opened, and you just have a ton of them to load. Would have thought the app would cache those.
Do you maybe have a bunch of tabs open? It should not be loading all of the apps. Your home screen is just a glorified bookmark list.
I am a fan of having both. Likes, at least with Amethyst and Nostrudel and other clients, allow for a wider range of expressive reactions, while zaps are better at expressing how much you valued a particular post.
Clients with only one "like" reaction make it much less useful, though, and definitely set zaps apart as the higher signal.
No. It is not like rolling dice.
It is guess and check.
Guess nonce, then do math to figure out if the resulting output meets the difficulty requirement. If it doesn't, replace the nonce with a new guess and run the math again, over and over, until an output hash meets the required number of leading zeroes.
A spider's web is beautifully and intricately designed, but at the end of the day, it is a trap to snare prey.
Is there an intersection between Bitcoin and Faith? I don't believe so, but this is a very well written article.

Money intersects pretty much everything else, so should we be surprised that it intersects faith as well?
The Bible has quite a lot to say about money, since it plays such a major role in the lives of all people, believers or not. Moreover, while Bitcoin may not have been specifically designed to adhere to biblical principles, it certainly happens to uphold them far more than any fiat currency.
Back from vacation. Now for the post-vacation time to actually relax for a few days before back to the grind Monday.
I am bullish AF about this project. What clients out there currently display these new event kinds?
Correct. It is a local and private relay that allows you to own YOUR data, and keep it backed up so you can restore it at any time, such as when your follow lost inevitably gets borked.
