I spent last weekend camping in Dorset. I had to get up at stupid o clock, climb and do yoga my body wasn’t prepared for, had terrible sleep. But it was worth it. My mind was so refreshed and I met some great people. 🌞

Talked to an old friend and he asked how I've been. I told him the first thing that came to mind and it was, "I'm tired of summer. Bring on winter."

Anyone that knows me would agree it is the most AK thing to say.

Milk?

Yesterday I did a thing...

...And it was worth it. We went to collect fresh hazelnuts. I must have spent an hour cracking them, and more than half were either empty or worm-infested. But at the end, I blended a handful of fresh hazelnuts into a fine milk with a little vanilla and dates. It was so delicious!

Yeah, Hamas is still very popular. Most Gazans want the war to continue.

Cuz I'm German and I know that it took decades of massive occupation and heavy, active deprogramming, for the Allies to civilize the Germans. Had to literally breed and propagandize the war out of them, which took nearly three generations.

Palestinians are even more warlike and resentful, and they have no memories of a high, advanced, peaceful civilization to fall back on, unlike the Germans. That's something that is fundamentally different between them and their neighbors. They're more like the Afghans or the Somalians.

Also, it's a region completely overrun by angry young men and women who breed like rabbits. That low of a median age, and that high of a fertility, means perpetual war. Either at home or abroad. I don't think there are any historical examples of such a demographic being peaceful.

i love tzatziki. but i also love yogurt in general. living in bulgaria i developed a taste for natural yogurt. in almost every suburb of Sofia there is places where people set up a little market stall selling their home produced goods, usually villagers from nearby areas. a very common offering is spring water bottles full of their own home made yogurt. idk where the milk comes from though. cows are not a common sight along the roads of rural areas, but dairies have to be everywhere considering how much yogurt they consume.
