I'm a huge rollercoaster fans. Now I understand why I enjoy watching Bitcoin price as well.

(Paywall après la première partie mais ça vaut le coup je pense)
Would love to do it but me and my family would starve or get fat and sick as the only merchant accepting bitcoins arround is a burger foot truck that comes once per week.
We can buy something else, not fiat only. What to buy is the real question.
Are you saying we should sell by end of 2025 and buy back beggining of 2027, then repeat every 4 years?
I also find it ugly, I use Kubuntu on my main PC because I like the community and support around Ubuntu and love KDE Plasma desktop. I tried the real KDE distro, Neon, but I had too many issues with it, starting with how Full Disk Encryption is managed.
However for a node that run 24:7 and that you connect to only for maintenance and update, you don't care about the GUI. For the node management itself, like open/closing/rebalancing Lightning channel you use an app with a WebGUI (Thunderhub or RTL) or even Zeus on a secured enough mobile.
I'm also on the same boat. Running Umbrel on a Raspberry but sick of it freezing regularly and having delay on some app update. If I have time I will do a node on a miniPC (like an Optiplex Mini that are dirt cheap second hand). However I would love to migrate all my channel on it without closing/reopening but I'm not sure it's (easily) doable.
Let us know once you made it!
Is it me or it's fully running from external server? It's just a mic and screen with amazing UX but in the back it looks more like a glorified Alexa or similar, no?
It's what everybody want eventually, whenever they are aware of it or not. But most of the time we didn't get this choice or it's extremely difficult to find ir from the noise of cheap or overpriced items all of medium to poor quality.
Hi, where are you located? I can check shipping cost and declare a lower value for customs.
I got it as a gift twice went it went out. I played a bit on one of them, even mod it to add more games and kept the second unopened, thus solding it now for sats.
To be honest I'm not even playing on the first one as almost all games I like to replay are on the Switch online offer, and I even have the real orignal SNES with my favorite games in case I really need to play it like at the time (just missing a CRT TV).
So yeah, if interested I'm selling but shipping outside Switzerland and EU might not worth it.
Yes it is but since they stop the beta phase with zero fee and where many were selling at low fee for testing and getting rewards and network fee were super low. Now if you add up the fee to Peach, the network fee and premium that seller ask for, you often only see offers at 8 to 12% premium, especially when price dip.
As a seller it's interesting if you manage to sell large enough stack to save on network fees, as apparently there is still demand for non-KYC bitcoins at these high fee, so if you stay readonnable and beat other seller price you could sell fast. And you pay extra for the support and escrow service in case of trouble.
Note that it's the same for Bisq more or less except that you need a running PC 24:7 to make offers.
Robotsats is much more interesting as it's on Lightning, you save network fees and it run on Tor onion and you can run you own instance on your node for maxium privacy (in one click install on Umbrel). The escrow however I never had to use it so not sure how you solve issues, depend on how lucky you are with picking your escrow. We could even imagine unintentionned people running many escrow accounts and offers in parallel accounts and scam unlucky people that end up picking both their offer and one of their escrow. Not sure if it's a thing or not thus.
As I understood, Future Bitcoin was an instrument used mostly to short Bitcoin, thus the down pressure. But we will see, I would always be amaze by how traditional finance institutions get new innovative stupid ways to fuck everyone for their own profit.
We will see what happens in the following weeks.
Apparently a market place post without picture is using your profile picture...
Lower, lower!
Stop recycling, we need new fresh meme to go to the next level.
Anybody has access to Mempool.space #bitcoin transaction accelerator?
There is a button on each unconfirmed transaction, when you click you get a price but then you must login, if you get an account and login it says you are on waiting list.
Is it legit? Is it accessible to some people only? Who? Or to no one yet?
I always pay with Bitcoin when possible, unless it's onchain only for small amount or if the merchant use a third party service with crazy high fee or abusive exchange rate.
For example I bought all my Steam games with Bitcoin when it was accepted on Steam (with zero conf on-chain 🤩) and I always paid my Protonmail subscription in bitcoins. Also I go to a food truck accepting Bitcoin over Lightning, 2-3 times per week.
When I can I buy back the sats shortly after or I stack in advance in the purpose of these pucrchases, but I must admit that I didn'nt in the beggining, like on Steam, which I should better not check how much sats (whole bitcoins!) I spend on these games at the time.
Ok sorry I misunderstood. I guess it's a new update that's getting more agressive on notifications going trhought. But unless most of your contacts use degoogled phone or Molly, I would not understand why it's not using GMS either.
Are you using Samsung? It might have a different battery optimization settings that block notifications through websocket but if it's all default with Google it should use Googe Services for the notifications.
Second more basic issue is that you could have disabled them by mistake. Double check all permissions and settings of the app and of your system.
