Woah, that last part hit me hard. I have known it a long time, but it was put so succinctly here. When a State is no longer able to steal wealth or intercept the acquision of it, it will cease to be a State, and it will become a seller in a market, in one form or another.

Thank you. So I wasn't missing that it wasn't exact, but also their pricing vs other makes it much closer. Like you said elsewhere, I still like getting sats even if steadily dropping, but I would like to see more offerings.
Anybody else been getting shorted on #fold rewards? I buy gift cards for Amazon and they are supposed to be 2.5% in sats, but the last 4+ purchases I calculate the percentage and pull sats/dollar conversion rates at the SAME TIME the transaction takes place, and the rewards all end up only being about 1.6% - 1.8%, while the app says 2.5% right there by the sats. nostr:npub1h8nk2346qezka5cpm8jjh3yl5j88pf4ly2ptu7s6uu55wcfqy0wq36rpev you've been promoting them for some time now. I'm increasingly disappointed in Fold, but I don't know of other cards that give sats back so something is better than nothing, but the CONSTANT changes, lack of support, past buying restrictions, and shorting of rewards now is getting on my damn nerves. If any other competing offer exist, Id probably stop using Fold.

Good question. I had the same issue years ago. In my experience, Bitcoin tends to be one of those things you cant "un-learn" and it changes your brain and impacts your view on everything else. That's hard for partners sometimes. If you have big name books, they probably have everything there, and it may prove good that it doesn't come from YOU. It would be just a matter of how your wife learns. Depends on her view, if everything is ok and we can trust government, or we can't, etc. No definitive solution on my end, but empathy and something to think about.
