Discord? I haven't checked in a few days. Will take a look after work.

My favorite part of public schools is how they only ever close school for extremely good reasons like rain. 😒

you seem like the kind of person that would use an unhosted wallet

Nice commentary on the technical design of LukeJr's datacarriersize PR.

primal has improved a lot but it continues to fuck up my relay list ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Apologies for being unclear. I was reusing your term. Large holders have a correspondingly large impact on price movements. People look to price as the ultimate indicator of the success or failure of a fork. Antonopoulos is saying that institutional bitcoin investors will have the most say in which side of a contentious fork wins. He is correct.

The last contentious fork was pushed by big money players. They threw money around to influence the fork, IMO in a naive way, and lost bigly. How will it play out when big money is 10x or 100x bigger and more sophisticated?

It's an important concern. Not sure what can be done but not considering this possibility is definitely a mistake.

Not sure what you mean. Fallen in popularity? I agree, but that was inevitable once he stopped producing content.

I think aantonop played a crucial role as an early evangelist. He was real fucking good at it too. He went broke doing it and then was saved by anonymous donations. Then he stopped. Now he's a college professor in Greece. I hope he is living his best life and I'm very grateful for his contributions. Very happy to see Harding take up the mantle for Mastering Bitcoin 3rd edition.

I don't think of Antonopoulos as 'fallen' in any sense. He has certainly earned a retirement from public life.

He also got more downvotes than upvotes. This man used to be the most important voice in bitcoin.

He's saying institutional ETF investors will oppose changing bitcoin in ways that displease their masters.
