I hope so but we haven't seen anything about missing donkeys and they've been out for at least a few weeks to a month.
Our property seems to be a place the stray livestock come to visit and now I'm apparently watering two donkeys. We've been seeing them off in the distant for a few weeks but couldn't get close enough to tell if they were wild or livestock, well yesterday they showed up on our property and were the sweetest things and I was finally able to see that one was branded so I guess I'll be calling the livestock commissioner to see if he can contact BLM to figure out who owns them.
The brand is a BLM brand and she's 6 years old but we can't figure out the rest of the symbols which say what state and area she came from. We're thinking the light one might be her adult baby. I gave them water yesterday and refilled a bucket today in the same spot and when I got home from dropping my husband off for a work trip the bucket was pretty much empty with more hoof prints around it. I'm kind of sad I missed them, they were so sweet and just wanted pets yesterday. I'm really hoping that they've escaped and not dumped, though dumping a branded animal just seems stupid. If they are dumped I've already have a new home for them with some friends who will spoil them.

First one completed of three custom solar racks for a customer. We're designing it so it's movable if needed but will stand up to our high winds. Each one will hold six panels.
This is an add on to their current solar system because the original company that put it in didn't size their needs right and only gave them 4000w of solar to power a 2000+ system ft home and homestead. They've been running their backup propane generator at least twice a day to compensate for what is missing from their current system.

And just drove through the area they sprayed and the only thing that died back was the Sunflowers and all the invasive plants are still alive.
That's what I keeps saying, why can't they take a flail mower to the side of the road instead.
I regard mass herbicide spraying of road sides & power lines as peak fiat clown world. So disgusting 
Our county did that too. Killed all of the native Arizona Sunflowers, it's so heartbreaking.
You know you married an incredible man when you're visiting family and he texts you pictures of your garden just because he knows you've been waiting for the Jerusalem Artichokes to flower and the new seeds to have their birthday. I love him so much and can't wait to see him on Saturday when the dogs and I get home.

An hour amd a half down the road this morning and we're stopping for breakfast now that it's light out. Our boys have always done better eating outside when we travel, so we just wait till it's light and feed them when we find an area we can pull off and safely have them out and off leash.

Going to be driving to my brother and sister in law's place in Laguna Niguel, about 9ish hours from our quiet sanctuary. I'm excited to spend some time with them and their boys and I'm taking our dogs with me but my husband's staying home and I'm going to miss him. I'm super anxious for some reason, I don't know if it's knowing I'll have to drive through the city or just leaving our quiet sanctuary. I grew up just north of LA, but the longer I live away from it the more I hate driving or spending time there. Still trying to convince them to move out by us but I doubt I'll ever succeed in that endeavor! 🤣

One of our customer's chickens decided to come check out the trench! She's a sweet chicken and hung around for about a half hour before heading back towards their coop.
