Twice I’ve used a toilet in a dream. Both times when I was a kid. Pissed in the clothes hamper next to my parents’ bed while sleepwalking, and woke them up mid stream. And pinched a loaf in my toy box while sleepwalking. I still remember my Mom pitching my doodoo covered blue M16 toy machine gun out into a snowbank till spring. How’s that for TMI? I tried telling her it was the cat. 🐈

Remember when Dennis Fong aka D11 Thresh from the Death Row Quake clan won John Carmack’s Ferrari for winning the very first QuakeCon? That guy was deadly. I once screenshotted a rocket kill I got on him, but it wasn’t fair because he was fighting two other guys at once in a hallway on DM5.

Man I had a 386 pc with a Monster3D card and a 28.8 modem still running GL Quake till not long ago. Good times back in the mid 90’s, dragging our PC’s to the computer lab at UBC where my buddy worked, to 4 on 4 deathmatch with other clans on stanford.edu’s Quake servers on the university’s T1 internet connection. Good times. We always had to take our receipts for our computers with us so Security wouldn’t think we were just stealing computers from the lab when we left. It’s crazy that my fibre to the home internet connection that I have today has more than three times the bandwidth than what the whole university ran on.

Likely violating a health code, but aww well it’s cute when the cat watches my wife meal prep.

Get a baseline with the Myers-Briggs test :). Then crank the Agreeableness knob to “0”.

Finally. Last batch of pressure canned potatoes from last fall. Keeping the dirt on them and keeping them in total darkness around 55-60F till right before processing kept them viable for a long time.

I feel like I just discovered fire. I created my first template with ChatGPT today to automate estimate creation for our company. I can now write an estimate in about the tenth of the time it took me yesterday. Now the question: Who gets to benefit? Do I get to finish my workday three or four hours sooner and go to the gym so I can be the best I can be at work tomorrow and in the future? Or does my employer just give me ten times more estimates to do in a day? Technology like smart phones and email are supposed to leverage and liberate our time, but they have really just allowed us to cram more work and more communications into the same long ass day, for the same pay. I guess the only way to leverage technology for your own benefit is if you are self employed. I would love to share this tool with others in the company, but I’d just be shooting myself in the foot.

One of my fav dishes. I just gained 10lb watching this.

Pretty amazing system. I dream of adding this to our cabin when we get out of the village here in the next year or two. Sips firewood versus conventional wood burning fireplaces. I initially saw this design on Fouch Family Off Grid on YouTube

That’s so awesome. When we go hunting, we have a similar pot that stays either outside freezing or on the woodstove in the army tent. Grouse, rabbit, deer backstrap or tenderloin, canned goods, broths, and soups get added. It’s such a treat to have hot food after stalking and sitting on cut lines all day. We call it “forever stew”.

Lately I’ve been freezing homemade soup flat in Ziplock bags. Then once frozen, I cut the Ziplock bags in half with a large chef’s knife, and vacuum seal each half with the bag material still on, for placement back in the freezer.
