There are so many reply-guy comments on Twitter/X that my mind quickly puts into a "your mom" joke framework, but then I never post it.

As soon as I read, "You didn't even" or "Bitcoin is" or things along those lines, my mind is like "Your mom didn't" or "Your mom is". And if I wrote them out in those thread's context, they're kind of funny.

Mainly I don't post them out of respect for moms, since moms are fucking awesome and I only want to send positive vibes.

It's quietly my biggest restraint.

Not sure about the 'insist' bit, but it generally makes a lot of sense to have your swap partition on a separate drive if possible. In most cases where the swap space is actually used, if it is on a separate drive to the OS you will get better performance.

I was using basic default settings, but I specifically had to go to advanced to make all other drives visible since they didn’t have pen partitions. Which also makes zero sense to me, because it was a USED swap partition. For what possible reason would the computer select to overwrite a used swap partition instead of creating its own in a fully unused drive with no partition at all?

Why would a computer *insist*, to the point of not giving me an option, on using a swap partition on a different drive entirely.

And this is AFTER I manually created a swap drive, and selected it as my swap, and the OS still installed it with BOTH the manually created one and the one on the opposite drive as swap… like wtf?

And it has made it so I cannot boot my Pop OS anymore. And I was just trying to dual boot Zorin.

I cannot understand this, and it happened before. I had a swap partition on a drive that had nothing to do with my OS drive. Just a random 250GB in my hot swap stack. Took it out one day having no idea, computer won’t boot.

Now at least I know what’s going on, but same thing happened. Makes no fucking sense.

Today I criticized a friend on X for his reporting, and I was a bitch about it, so I think it may be time that I make something very clear.

I am a very nuanced person. When I criticize someone‘s work, I do not generalize my criticisms onto their *body of work* or onto their person.

I can disagree with something someone has done or said, or how someone has handled a situation, without discrediting what they have done in the past or will do in the future. My criticisms apply to what I criticize and to nothing above or beyond that.

Given the comments Ive received not just today but on previous criticisms ive voiced on other people/entities in this space - for example my criticisms of BPI’s EO draft - it seems that this nuance is not always clear to everyone.

Criticizing something a person has done does not make them a bad person, even less does it imply that *I* think that they are a bad person. Criticizing something and entity has done does not make the entity a bad entity, nor does it imply that *I* believe so.

I am very harsh in my criticisms because this nuance exists in the way I think about the world. If you werent aware, please make sure to keep this in mind. PSA over🤘

Try Debian 13? It's technically the testing version of Debian but I've been using that as my daily driver for close to six or seven months now due to buying a newer laptop and I've had very little issues.

That being said I've run testing as a daily driver in the past, that gets you newer packages. Apt pinning is also an option.

I achieved this with KDE by doing an absolute minimum Debian install and not installing a desktop environment.

There's also usually a minimal installation that's just the bare bones without all the extra bloat for most desktop environments. So it takes a little bit of extra work But the end result is completely clean install.
