For sure. HAM radio is the most reliable form of communication over distances especially during a natural disaster. When the internet goes down, cell phone towers don't work, HAM radio never fails. Also a very secure way of communicating if you have your system setup correctly.

Yup! My dad has the equipment on mountaintops so as long as you can connect to the repeater on the mountain top you can make a phone call. Now that cell phones are the norm autopatch isn't that cool anymore but back in the day it was insane to be able to make a phone call via your HAM radio. Yup! My father has multiple repeaters on top of mountains across the southwest. We were using autopatch to make phone calls via HAM radios years before the first cell phone was released.

No problem. If you toggle on or off a relay and the toggle reverts back to the last option, simply exit the relay option screen and then go back into it. It's a known bug.

If you're on Damus for iOS, if you click the magnify glass at the bottom to load the global feed, once in the global feed click the three lines in the upper right. You can select which relays show global feed content. 🤙🏼
