No one is coming to save you. Nostrich since 768952.

Today I see this new analysis revealing what Russian intelligence services have discovered by looking at weapons delivery to Ukraine from European countries. The bottom line is:

a) at the current speed of weapons production, we could only deliver sufficient weapons to Ukraine by 2025!

b) at the speed we are giving away our stockpile, we'll need 15 years to resupply!

Obviously this is coming from Russian intelligence and should be taken with a grain of salt. Nevertheless, it seems directionnally correct. This is a serious counterweight to the idea that this war is depleting only Russian forces. It is depleting supplies on both sides but Russia has probably prepared itself much better since 2014.

this is certainly a fair take. I don't have a good answer apart that maybe if 60% of Russian forces are eliminated, Putin really sees an interest in ending this war rapidly as long as he can paint it as a victory internally. But I agree this might be wishful thinking after witnessing how obsessed he is with his version of history.

I'm no expert but I'd imagine that either they go all-in with a trillion USD to win the war or they stop sending weapons and sit at the table. There's no use sitting between chairs.

Looks like next difficulty adjustment is needed

you're right that it's not the same objective. By all means it caught mu attention anyway, I'm here answering you during breakfast. And I'm sure mu kids could use that book šŸ˜€

my 2 takeaways:

- the idea is not watching to check whether Putin is gaslighting the audience or not, you're watching to gauge to understand the vision of an important world leader and to understand how cognizant he is.

- Putin seems to let the door open for a negociated peace. It's unclear if that's sincere but people in the West might question a bit more whether their govs are really trying to end the conflict.

many years after reading it for the 1st time, it remains one of the most intense reading moment of my life. It also got me reading Thoreau's Walden. Brilliant books.

I volunteered yesterday to meet high-schoolers in need of career orientation. The school invited about 100 professions. They had put a request for a "crypto pro" on a crypto forum I follow from afar. Out of fear of having a shitcoiner volunteering to brainwash high-schoolers, I quickly decided to accept and take the opportunity for an orange-pilling session.

I was appaled by the level of shitcoinery that youth is exposed to. They were all telling me about youtube influencers, asking me about the best token to buy righ now, or about the telegram group they had to pay €300 to get in and receive "secret tips",...

I did my best to reduce their time preference and orange pill them, but guys, we've an awful lot of work to do to change their mindset. I never thought that it was that bad. We need to find better ways to scale up bitcoin education. It's kind of urgent.

I have many years of risk management in fiat banking behind me (non-US).

Out of curiosity, I contacted a few previous colleagues last weekend and asked them if they understand what is happening with SVB.

Most were able to tell the facts as reported by MSM.

But almost none was able to zoom out even 1 level and mention fractional reserve.

None was able to zoom out a few more levels and question what money really is.
