I just hope they're playing it in a more creative fashion than some do.
I saw my kid playing Bed Wars in it years ago and was like...this only happens to take place in Minecraft.
I loved the old Tekkit modpacks and some that came later. Fully programmable computers that could interact with machinery. But even Vanilla can get really cool with redstone for the patient.
Oof after Thanksgiving we didn't go near turkey.
Sister made a giant rib roast though which I can only wish there were a lot more of.
There's 11 more days of it mate.
Uptime is important too. Though asking how long he keeps it up may seem a bit forward...
We all love to tell each other how you should be selective, find the one, because you deserve it, etc.
And you do and should.
But also should be there for your relatioships and yourself, because life's better when they function well.
GM. Finally got some sleep now that the wrapping paper's been dealt with and the cooking's done and the kitchen is at least mostly back to orderly.
Going to see my Mother in law and her husband today, so not done with the driving, but I might get to finally relax a little and enjoy these last 11 days of Christmas.

And yea, I get that arranged marriages also were held together by some other pressures, some of which we can be glad no longer apply. But taking the strengths that were built by that adversity even when the adversity is gone can help with perspective towards achieving a bit of harmony.
I'm of the mind the the success of centuries of arranged marriages wasn't so much founded on parental abilities to pick just right, but the virtues of perseverence, humility, patience, wisdom, gratitude, and perhaps others, which got people out of the mindset of "are YOU really the best one for me?"
There's something to be said for being selective but I think overemphasis on it removes a ton of responsibility from the equation.
A lack of chairs is a close second.
Hey we found something we agree on.
Sounds like an improvement over last time.
If someone's not are they really even an adult? 😂
I hope it's at a place that takes Square, so you can tell whether he chooses fiat or Bitcoin.
Though maybe that's not a first date thing -- that's a divisive thing even among Bitcoiners what with the 'never spend' crowd.
The IDF said it has killed a militant involved in rebuilding Hezbollah’s terrorist infrastructure.
According to the statement, the strike took place earlier today in the Jmeijmeh area of southern Lebanon and targeted a militant working to restore the group’s operational capabilities in the region. The IDF said the activity violated the understandings between Israel and Lebanon, adding that it will continue to act to neutralize threats and protect the State of Israel.

The IDF celebrating the death of a terrorist is like Pablo Escobar celebrating the death of a drug smuggler.
I’ve been eyeing this stuff lately, https://getchroma.co but it definitely isn’t inexpensive. I also have a red light heat lamp (which I’m not sure does the same thing) but nothing beats seeing the sun first thing in the morning.
I've heard good things from nostr:nprofile1qqstnem9g6aqv3tw6vqaneftcj06frns56lj9q470gdww228vysz8hqpz3mhxue69uhkzmr8duh82arcduhx7mn99uq3vamnwvaz7tm9v3jkutnwdaehgu3wd3skuep0qy88wumn8ghj7mn0wvhxcmmv9usrwrn5 about their blue light blockers, and do see they can do HSA funds. If Bitcoin cooperates might spring for that given that I've got an employer funded HSA full of Bitcoin ETF (they do have some role, and someone else's funding with strings attached is it).
Just was hoping to find something a little further down the price space but it feels like a lot of folks are happy to sell junk and it's hard to know wheer the line is.
Anyone know a good sweet spot for red light therapy when it comes to value? Looking to get something but not trying to spend thousands of dollars. Or buy garbage. Hoping some of you #lightpunks out there might know a thing or two about #mitochondrial health.
Also need to figure out #UV but that probably means getting outside more at the right times. Non trivial with the job these days.

I'll peek harder when the whirlwind of Christmas and in laws and school vacation gives me room to breathe or sleep.
Worst case scenario finding a mailing address can probably be done.
If that doesn't work lemme know, that was like, a minute of me googling while being woken up by my dogs. Ever since I read the 4-Hour Workweek I have always held the idea that reaching out to prominent people is, at the end of the day, reaching out to people.
Can't promise they won't ignore your correspondence of course, but that's true of anyone anyway. It does mean I get practice tracking people's contact info down though when it's not always front and center due to spam considerations.
Yea, this is real amateur shit if not done on purpose for plausible deniability.
People sometimes think I am mean or sad bc of how I react and sometimes both of these things are true
But, most importantly, people do not realize the risks I take saying the things I say
I grew up understanding that cryptography was considered illegal munitions at one time
My parents raised me to deeply understand that we posses finite resources against endless battles
It is important that we preserve energy for the ones that matter
The protection of ciphers and cryptography matter in ways most cannot possibly understand
The number of people who can actually monitor for backdoors is infinitely small, the number of individuals who have the skills to create redundancy is a bit bigger but barely
“If they can redact, we can encrypt”

Cryptography IS a munition.
And as such it should be protected as much by the second amendment as it is the first.
Keep an eye on the Slack chat, Eric posts regularly. Dude's coming along.
People think I hate all bips but I do not hate all bips… I like the bips that nostr:nprofile1qqspgwdt6s5cz9j74nxdq34a2ed26x0jx99f8tvm6zdds03ng2lvn8cpzfmhxue69uhk7enxvd5xz6tw9ec82csprpmhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuumwdae8gtnnda3kjctvsl6t96 and that murchadamus guy were talking about on optech today
Idk how you spell it… utreexo? maybe
But, I like this bc Satoshi alluded to this type of design being the future of Bitcoin one day but it’s actually better than what Satoshi imagined originally, I think
I love a lot of bips. 32 is one I can't imagine going back to not having. 39 is pretty convenient even if good alternatives exist. 157 and 158 are neat to make neutrino possible -- how else you running a self contained LND node on your phone without needing a full node? I have one, but not everyone's got the means.
328 for music2 makes ark viable -- sorta clutch there.
65...who can do without CLTV?
Bip 42 is funniest though.
119 for CTV is the one I'd like to see implemented, along with 348, CSFS.
Just to name a few.
My Jewish friend tells me the only reason anyone celebrates Hanukkah is because it's near Christmas.
Sounds about right.
Bipartisan Bill Seeks to Repeal Section 230, Endangering Online Free Speech
https://reclaimthenet.org/bipartisan-bill-seeks-to-repeal-section-230-endangering-online-free-speech
Endangering free speech, or encouraging smaller sites with either anonymization, permitted entry, encryption, or some combination of them all?
Something tells me this is worse for X than it is for a Nostr relay on tor.
Better though would be clarifying that the big platforms are stripped of 230 protection when and if they curate content rather than serving as dumb pipes.
I partake in my in laws Chanukah celebrations. Yankee swap, latkes, menorah lighting.
That said it's not a high holiday so it's not nearly as big a deal as passover, purim, rosh hashana, or yom Kippur.
Mostly just an excuse to gather with family, eat food, and share gifts. And gamble if you bust out the Dreidl.
Part of that is based on what block height you have assumevalid set at.
Especially now with people running older versions amid the Core drama it's worth considering setting that height higher so you're using fewer resources verifying scripts on very well established transactions.
New versions set that default height higher but it gets deeper and deeper as the version gets older.
