And the main window, will be revamped?

Also when you don't know is always "B"

A 👌

Is there supposed to be a difference between them?

Now I see it... after looking at every font, text, heading, menu, etc. Honestly, A is better since it's not relying on color to indicate debit vs credit. Color-blind people will appreciate the arrows.

A. The icons reinforce the message beyond the color

They are the same picture [meme]

B

I prefer option A. It is more self-explanatory

B ⚡

B.

Can see the +&- of the transaction, so don't need the up/down arrows of option A.

I feel it depends on screen size but I’m liking A. Never been a compact fan iibh. Assuming your talking about the spacing 😂

Or am i too spaced and it’s the icons 😆😂😆

I really like A.

This reminds me. We need polls on Nostr somehow.

Use color only to communicate UI semantics is a bad practice. It’s always shape $ color at the same time.

nostr:npub1m0sxqk5uwvtjhtt4yw3j0v3k6402fd35aq8832gp8kmer78atvkq9vgcru Let me further explain.

1. Colors alone are not friendly to color blind people.

2. Colors alone are too broad. For example, Green usually means "OK/Good". If 3 UIs are all green, are they all "good"? "Good" in what sense? Adding a shape shrink down the possible semantics. Adding a hover word shrink it down further. Making it more precise.

Therefore, I always recommend color+shape+hover word.

This note is also to remind myself that I don't 100% execute my design principles in Blowater either. It's very hard to come up good UI in both beauty and semantics.

Sometimes the beautiful UI is semantically messed up. Sometimes the intuitive UI just looks boring.

B

I don't see major difference on these two UI.

I can't see a difference, maybe that's why I'm not a designer

B -- Colour and +/- already communicate direction, use the icon to communicate type (zap, lnurlp, invoice, pay request, etc.)

B receive ⚡ + A Sent 🔺

A. Can't do color alone, there are lots of colour blind people.

• remove the ‘@‘ completely, only have up and down icons

• change the orange to red, to have outgoing money be red and incoming green. you can also offer customisation option for the users when it comes to those accent colours, to make it more personable

• add a dropdown with “sent” and “received” as the two options, to offer some sort of filtering and make the user scroll less, when looking for a specific transaction in the history of the extension

A 100%

A is more useful because up arrow(sent payment) and down arrow(received payment) symbols are different, in a monochrome setting or for a colorblind person easy to understand.

A but with a ⚡️ added to it. B is lacking “context” IMO

A and I hate IPA

it doesn't matter, but if you have to choose, then A

What is the difference ?

A

Neither.

Simple "-" ot "+" is very human readable.

We definitely need NIP for polls!

A. But make every transaction line either an up arrow or down arrow.

could both not be implemented and users choose themselves? With a simple toggle?

A, like the arrows better

Using arrows will be less confusing for people with a form of colour blindness, would implement A for design if I was in your shoes

Definitely A for arrows. Icons that use color only can be difficult for colorblind people to distinguish whereas the arrows are very clear.

A

What’s the difference?

I didn't even notice that the lightning icons had a different color 😄

So you're totally right, arrows are easier to grasp.
