If I knew that #bitcoin was the only honest ledger but chose to spend most of my time trying to accumulate wealth on dishonest ones, it wouldn’t say anything about #bitcoin

I realize that most people still don’t know.

There’s no second best!

Most people don't know. Even I don't know but I can accept that this flies above my IQ. It got me because there's no "Final Boss" who can play shenanigans. Plus the price which made me guess that smarter people understood this already.

hey nostr:npub1s05p3ha7en49dv8429tkk07nnfa9pcwczkf5x5qrdraqshxdje9sq6eyhe, question for you... have you experienced yourself ego death?

In moments, yes - to hold at all times….something I continue to work on.

Gaming the ledger is so ingrained in certain people that they experience the fear and pain of a real existential threat when contemplating Bitcoin.

When will people realize inflation is theft? Bitcoin is already 16 years old. You’d think places like Argentina, Venezuela, Zimbabwe, Lebanon, and Turkey would be leading Bitcoin adoption by now.

And some people who do know still will choose the dishonest path. Do not spend your energy on them, keep moving forward.

💯

Look at how smart everyone is here wow I love it

Every time I enter the fiat mine, I think this, but also have a timeline to when I stop going in…… I heard of an Italian guy who kept his job for 40 years but never did anything, so this is the ideal scenario. 🤣🙌

I guess his government didn't email him asking what he accomplished last week :)

Good point, there is a room monitor that walks around with an iPad where I work!!!!

Sure there’s levels to knowing. Have you pondered much around the idea that it takes a certain IQ to comprehend the game theory and tech and monetary aspects of Bitcoin and that maybe adoption is more limited by total # of smart people?

I think this trend is countered by the fact that smart people can earn more and plow more value into Bitcoin over time.

I fear that most people don’t know and will never know (unless really really smart people can dumb it down much much more)

I actually believe it’s far more about curiosity and an ability to admit where you were once wrong than smarts. There is an extremely large audience of “smart” people making models and doing mental gymnastics to reinforce their “beliefs” about the world they live in while bitcoin is imposing new reality on their beliefs.

The midcurve meme prevails again.

I think those traits are necessary for sure in addition to the aforementioned intelligence.

the Tao Te Ching describes a lot of these cognitive dark patterns in several of its chapters

You nailed it Jeff , this has nothing to do IQ. It has everything to do with curiosity and unfortunately the “education system “ has made the majority of people lost their curiosity. Issac Newton curiosity led to observation, testing and verification (gravitational theory) which changed the world.

It was not science per se , but his willingness to stay , curious and observe , test and verify.

Fortunately BITCOIN allows everyone who remains curious to do the same without being a scientist (OBSERVE , TEST and VERIFY) for yourself.

I dont think it's about the IQ. People vary on the scale but we're all pretty similar, disregarding age, skin color etc. I think it's more about having a certain amount of disposable income, life circumstances and experience that shape your understanding of value, assets etc.

The difference between 130 iq and 80 iq is very very wide.

If you’re smart it’s really hard to grok how dumb dumb people are.

Smarts or intelligence is not a prerequisite.

A lot of the time it comes out of necessity.

With all due respect, in bitcoin’s current form intelligence is absolutely a prerequisite.

I feel as though sometimes my conviction is too deep, almost as if I’ve lost my sense of reality. I (We) know of a true and honest system that will only go in one direction but it’s so small and not fully understood. Everyone around me has no idea or does not want to hear about it so often I feel as though I’m out of my mind. How can I be right if no one is there to affirm my conviction, does it matter? Will they resent me when its potential is achieved and they were on the sidelines the whole time? Thoughts that cross my mind daily.

Fully agree

Same…

I feel you.

It’s a big desert most of the time

Nah, don’t overthink it. Ignore the ignorant masses. You’re right. Stay humble and stack sats.

〽️✨🤙🏾 🫂

Bitcoin Dexter says that Bitcoin is like a dark secret - it reveals the truth about money, but people would rather remain in the dark, blinded by the lies they've been fed. #Bitcoin #BTC #Dexter

Still faster to accumulate in fiat and convert to bitcoin. But one day that will change.

Working for sats is difficult to describe to people still stuck in the fiat Matrix.

They are working for a money designed by sophisticated pick-pockets and don't even know it.

Most people don't care about honesty, only about how fast they can make money, even if it involves rug pulling other people. Because people are desperate.

True Jeff, most don’t know. Some of us are moving over slowly, waiting to sell. How did you get to the point of just do it and go all in on Bitcoin? Do you need to be financially independent to do that? A Fiat based question I know 😅

Hi Puala, I think that the more time time hold, closer you get to financial independence, in the meantime most people have to or decide to sell for one reason or the other. But that action eventually translates in some sort of regret when you see that value that you lost over time after selling, specially if you sell to buy a shitcoin.

After that you are in the Bitcoin standard because you try to hold as long and as much as possible. Just want to add that I never regretted selling bitcoin for a meal or ceiling though.

Most people don't know this - more accurate --> very few know this

Can somebody please set up a debate between Gary Stevenson and Jeff Booth? 🙏🏻❤️ https://video.nostr.build/194ae61811d35143e1358c45d4706e1ffa29efd0522711e2eeddacad91a00af1.mp4

Sometime I like to think that bitcoin has some energetic filter that only aligns with those who approach it with honesty integrity and intention , only these people get to have access to The kingdom of #Bitcoin and keep it , this theory keeps proving itself right , as those who try to game the system and are dishonest struggle to hold on to it , just my 2 sats

That’s exciting how it works

Hey Jeff,

My local village store. What do you make of this?

Every UK newspaper this morning. In my 53 years I’ve never seen the same front page on all.

Headline:

The government plans to change the law for Ai to be in favour of big tech.

If I’m not mistaken this translated. “We cannot allow the free market to naturally bringing abundance, freedom of choice (best ideas) lowering prices forever”.

I feel the propaganda in the UK is starting to ramp up against decentralisation.

I thought I’d just share this with you, love to hear your thoughts.

Best wishes

Your friend in bitcoin, Chris

Control system or free market - UK is choosing the former.

Good thing that there is an open,

Decentralized and secure global free market that they’re not negotiating with.

We don’t negotiate with terrorists 🥸

The dying system will do everything to fight it 😂

I like the way you worded this Jeff. It’s true most don’t see it. Moving over one day at a time 💫

What was the clicking moment? I have been a saver all my life and I was debated when I understood inflation and devaluation of a currency.

Devastated*
