Right! It's really quit dumb. Last year they permanently disabled my business page which I had since 2010, had to start over. Decentralized is so much better... #GrowNostr
I still have IG, so I read where you can get business verified and actually talk to a human... I tried that and they sent it to a specialized team.
Fingers crossed🤞. Of course one of my business pages I didn't have my wife listed as an admin, so if I don't get it back, it's probably gone forever as well. 🤦🏼♂️

But in a magical was after 90 days or so she was able to recover her account without any further assistance
I think it will work out in the long run, they just have so many things automated, and so many users, that it takes time to recover and correct. I get shadowbanned often by other platforms and I do think it just expires and starts working again.
My 'Bitcoin' podcast's IG account wouldn't let me in for months earlier this year and then one day it just worked.
Also if you know anyone who is a meta employee, I believe that helps move things along. But hope it's definitely not lost. Nostr will be here for you in the meantime 💜

This happened to me years ago and had a lot of fucked up impact on my life, but also helped show me how nobody around me was actually trustworthy.
Maybe in the long run things would be worse if I was still associating with certain people, not knowing they wouldn't even bother to keep in contact with me in the event of Zuck banning me from facebook.
Facebook is still the king of features. What made Facebook awesome was the friend request. I'm not a fan of this allowing anyone to interact with my profile like we do on nostr.
Unfortunately Facebook bans people so it's trash.

Yeah, I assume Nostr will get there eventually... but we're still figuring out how to get private Direct Messaging working right, first. Some kind of private Indirect Messaging (or 'wall' posting) would seem like the next logical step.
You can also ban anyone you don't wish to interact with. Like on Instagram. At least with nostr, it's so cancel resistant that you actually curate you feed by those that like your stuff and those that done. Way better in my opinion. I'm never leaving Nostr.
If you manage to get it reinstated there should be tools available that can download your whole history so you can store it on a thumb drive.
That sucks! I hope you can convince them they made mistake and to reinstate your account... so, that you can then delete your account on YOUR terms.
NOTE: I was going to say "...*immediately* delete your account..."; but I recently did this myself, and they make you wait 30 days - hoping you'll change your mind. 🤣
