I haven't had a hot chocolate in like 20 years. I might need to do something about that.

It is time, John. β˜•πŸ«

What's your go-to recipe and do I have to order chocolate that touched four continents before it's in my mug?

πŸ˜„ Well, first things first, no Swiss Miss shit because that's from Wisconsin.

In my chocolat chaud recipe, theres..

500 ml whole milk, 120ml full fat cream, 120g dark chocolate, 1/2 tsp vanilla extract, sugar (to taste), pinch of salt.

I'm addicted to cream. This is going to get wild.

So today I learned that 58 and 42 together is 100. There's some insane numerology in this field.

We been here doing maths

"ITS JUST MATH!!" β€”bitcoiners

Careful with magic.

Indeed

Report when you've made it?

You'll probably hear me drinking it from wherever you are. It might cause an avalanche and the mountain will respond "I'll have what he's having"

hahahaha

please

This sounds like it will warm you right up...I should get the ingredients...also I should have whined about being cold earlier in the winter...πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

btw, that recipe is good for two. one for you and the cheesey INTJ in your life. πŸ˜„

My wife loves hot chocolate.

I've actually yet to meet anyone who doesnt. Yea, so far no.

This has been my experience with making homemade pasta sauce for non-italians. The first time you have homemade red sauce when you lived on Ragu, it's a game changer.

On the list. Not yet. Been mostly carnivore this winter. Mostly.

Understandable, the redsauce with braised short ribs is probably a fine minor diversion from pure carni.

I made an anchiovie-based white sauce over the weekend that would go well with fish too.

Recipes?? For sauces??? πŸ‘€πŸ‘€

Many thanks!! We gon' be saucin'!!

Soemtimes I like to use the braised short ribs as the appetizer. I'll debone and shred and put them on crustini's with a little sauce

Yum.

Agree πŸ’―

I can say the same for pizza dough and pie crusts. Idk, it's just better than store bought stuff.

My goal is to be my grandpa and make shit the right way forever. Everytime I look at my son I think wow I wish he got to meet him, he looks a lot like that side of my family. I came out like a pastey toehead because of my dad's strong genes. But my son looks like a real sicilian

πŸ˜„ Love it.

Apart from living pretty close to Italy, I did date an Italian who taught me a lot of the old and traditional tricks. I give credit for that. It made my cooking a lot better.

We take it pretty seriously. Sometimes so serious it's kind of funny.

Bread has been the big one here. Sourdough bread 🀌🀀.

chocolate mousse tho, that's another thing , yecch... it starts with cacao powder and then it takes the wrong turn left

I think most wives like chocolate, hot or not...just like our husbands... ba-dum-tssπŸ₯ πŸ˜‰πŸ˜¬

I definitely married up.

She chose you for a reason ☺️.

I'm unusually persuasive.

πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ I'll have to math and make it for the cheesey INTJ and the junior no-clue-what-he-is cheese, it's good practice in fractions for the kid.

πŸ˜„ Makes for a great family activity. Bravo!

I would happily drink this.

Here in case you missed it beneath:

You're going to enjoy a cup.or two or three during your trip, doc. Good times.

🀀🀀🀀

I can't wait to try it 🀀

Ok so here's what you do:

You heat up a cup of milk on medium-low on the stove. Let it take it's time.

In a mug, you mix 2 tbsp honey and 1 tbsp cocoa powder until it's smooth. When the milk is steaming, pour in a little and combine it completely with your cocoa paste. Then stir in the rest of the milk.

Thank me later.

Ok, Ill do this. I need a good cocoa powder first so that I can make it memorable. Any recommendations? I'd prefer one that has been observed by extra dimensional beings.

I use this stuff from Whole Foods. And there's a honey farm out on colonial south of Oviedo that has great local honey.

I go to the honey place off Avalon if I don't get it from the farmer's market from this vietnam vet. That dude is based. Makes raw goat feta and sells eggs and stuff.

Dang that's so far but I'd love to check it out.

Yes you should. 😁

Much appreciated πŸ«‚. Warm thoughts are always welcome!
