Lots of cypherpunks here so anonymity is definitely encouraged. I would say the ethos is more about quality of engagement. Most of us are a bunch of random nyms who met here in cyberspace because we enjoyed the content and discussions being had in this space. I feel like that is a pretty healthy way to grow a community from ground up.

It really depends on how you want to approach this. I'm actually not anon as I've had my face on photos and videos I've posted with nostr:npub1f7n47xajdxnvrespa939hvcta6ys362k4sy3yjd2e2ea6dcghpvs2tm25c but there's absolutely no requirement to reveal your identity. We respect people's privacy here
No, be as transparent as you like. But keep in mind that if you'd like to speak freely here in a way you can't get persecuted for your speech the transparency can work against you. So if you are from a hostile nation such as the UK or some of the Arabic countries that persecute for speech then its smarter to go fully anonymous.

I'm also not anon. But you can still create multiple additional accounts. It's actually smarter to do so. However, be aware that AI can also identify you by your writing style if it has enough data. Having your own posts rephrased by AI as a way to obfuscate your writing style makes sense if you really want to stay anonymous.
Thanks for the input. I think I’ll struggle to stay on top of just one account here; multiple accounts just ain’t feasible at this point. And I do want to give this sufficient attention as it’s important

Anon accounts are mainly just thinking about a future of hyperbitcoinization, more advanced face biometric tech, and freedom to speak openly IMO
I've still met people from nostr IRL but tend to lean towards more privacy as a default
I recommend having at least two strictly separated Nostr identities; one for making connections in physical meetups / conferences and another anon identity for the interwebz
