Good evening. 🍻
I’m on Day 10 of an (almost complete) #carnivore diet and have lost 8.5 pounds.
And my dad bod gut is melting away… like purchasing power within a fiat “savings” account. 😂
Just thought you should know.

#Steak is good for us all 🥩 eat more daily
Nice progress! 👊
Way to go!! Carnivore is the way!! Stay the course! 😎
Proof of work Dr. J! 🙌🏻
I loved it! With running and sweating a lot I really had a time with my electrolytes and staying hydrated. Otherwise... Lost 45 lbs in 3 months and it has stayed off now for a year.
🤝
Is this much different to a keto diet or are they the same with different names? I reckon I should try this, sounds like fun
Can you tell us what you eat on a typical day as those losses are pretty good. And I want to lose the dad bod too 😂
Sure.
Pre-breakfast: Coffee, water
Breakfast: Lots of scrambled eggs with lots of ham and English Cheddar or fried eggs (in butter) and beef sausage.
This easily keeps me full until lunch.
Lunch: Hamburger/cheeseburger with at least a half pound of beef or 1.25 oz (35 g) of Jack Links Beef Jerky (which has too much sugar, imo)
This easily keeps me full until dinner.
Dinner: New York Strip or Ribeye or any large chunk of beef that I kind find or chicken or seafood (less ideal) and/or 1 or 2 cups of bone broth.
That's it.
I occasionally "slip" with beer and frozen pepperoni pizza (Heggies).
Sounds good. I had 500g of beef mince for lunch yesterday. I was actually full for a change
Congratulations! Been doing strict carnivore since Jan 1. I lost a bunch of weight during the first 3 weeks and then I hit a pretty significant weight plateau right after 3 weeks. Just now breaking lower again.
Just sharing so you don’t get discouraged along the way.
Keep it up!
I’ve done it in the past and it went like this:
1. Rapid loss of fat weight.
2. Steady (lower) weight with significantly increased muscle mass and decreased fat.
I don’t really care about how much I weigh, just an improved muscle to fat ratio.
Those small wins lead you to where you need to be
I had a similar experience. I didn’t realize how much bloat and inflammation I had until I started that diet
💪
Darkness of chocolate is to to with the ratio between chocolate and milk. It could be 99% dark and still loaded with sugar. I made that mistake many years ago. (BTW unsweetened cacao is pretty amazing once you get used to it.)
Yup, lost 10-15 pounds within a couple weeks
Been doing low carb for 10 years
Been no-carb for more than 3 years
The longer you do it, the better the benefits.
... don't go back !!!
Oooh cool. Curious though what base diet have you come from? With 1 being really crappy high toxicity and 10 being something like paleo...
