A lot of nonsense from the mental health field. I think because they are trying to be more like the medical field in order to get insurance coverage. Mental health problems are a real thing and good therapists can still help people that are poor. Iโve seen it happen and experienced it myself. But most of the problems in the world are from government and fiat. And they are made way worse. The Bernese was a large male, unfixed. I think he weighed about 160ish, stood as tall as I with his paws on my shoulders. His job was guarding the corral area & farm yard from coyotes. Yet he was still gentle with children and other dogs & the farm cats. If I ever have the room I'll get one.

Farm dogs were never fixed. Increased aggression and size, plus the cattle dogs were for breeding too. They were always vaccinated as well to prevent easily transmissible diseases.
