this is one of the books i wish i had read a translation instead of the original. It seems translators did a great work improving both style and correcting grammar and spelling errors. The original in portuguese was almost unreadable when i first read it 30 years ago or so.
One of the best books I have ever read, really powerful. I frequently re-listen to it.
A great torture method is to get someone to finish reading this book. It’s unbearable (and yes, I somehow finished it because I’m a masochist). Just my 2 sats.

Tarifa is a cool place
I have read it when I was small. It is one of the thinnest books of all time but has good very good insights. The plot countries are Spain, Morocco, Sahara Dessert and Egypt’s Giza area if I remember correctly. The animals mentioned are sheep, falcon, and camels. The gist of book is when life gives you lemons, make lemonades, don’t throw them away. Don’t fear to dream big and have faith in miracles.
