Last night I put created concept art and a demo card with stats for a card battler game run on the roster protocol. This is a concept I’ve been thinking about for a little while.

Yeah, I haven’t played that one, but I think the concept is the same. Magic the gathering, heart stone slay the spire etc.
It would need a bot to tally the math and update your stats. I’m thinking nostr:npub1l2vyh47mk2p0qlsku7hg0vn29faehy9hy34ygaclpn66ukqp3afqutajft ‘s data vending machine concepts could be pretty awesome here.
If you wanted to get really wild, have a DMV take your base card(s) as input and output a modified AI created version of the card showing who is victorious.
Depending on how cheap and fast the vending machines could run on nostr, you could have an AI version of the card itself be updated with its stats after every play so that the numbers could on the card can change.
I don’t know if current AI programs can produce accurate numbers and text yet

It's like the pre-FB internet again. I'm only concerned as the drones and feds show up the apps don't have helpful tools for keeping such asshattery off my pixels.
Directly earning for making content is best here. No middlemen. I want more of that however we can build towards it.
Maybe it’s just more users using Nostr so there’s more of an audience to provide content for.
Maybe it’s being able to congregate with communities (with relays being more themed than they currently are) so we can discover and be discovered.

Yep! People think that all cryptocurrencies, including bitcoin is a scam. So when they see that nostr mostly bitcoin talk they will completely nope the fuck out. I also think the average person will have a hard time wrapping their head around how nostr and key pairs work.
Thats also one of the reasons I’m browsing for non-sensical stuff here. I just find it is boring when only content I see here is bitcoin and tech stuff. It doesn’t mean that these topic are no good or not important at all. Because there’re still very few to none normie/no coiner here in nostr.
Those who good with those content should continue put up great content about bitcoin/nostr/tech stuff. Those content will probably come in handy for those who want it. There’re actually so many people outthere seeking random bitcoin/tech tips from social media. And when the normies/no coiner are happened to read those content, they will probably learn 1% of something useful.
But me as a simple minded degen, I’m just here for non sensical things because I think I’m using these social networks just to enjoying the time in the restroom at my office, or just to have something to do while traveling on a public transport. So I think I’m not here for benefical content.
But hey, there’re probably many people outthere enjoying non sensical things in X or FB as well (thats why the stupid tiktok reels, the non sensical content that even I actually hate it, are so popular)
So I think its best for everyone here do the part they enjoy or wants or find it to be profitable for them. Because it is impossible to speculate what the next user will be and which content they’re here for.
I was there when ask.fm are so popular for people in my country, but it only lasted for a few weeks. I also was on the mastodon for a while and decided to return to twitter because the network effect wasn’t enough there and probably many other reasons that I doesn’t care 😅 But since we’re in a nostr bull market (or what nostr bears called “nostr bubble”) so I hope we all enjoy this trend and stay hodling onto this platform so we can go up forever, laura.
Yep. As much as I hate to say it, nostr needs clients the don't integrate zaps, and relays with a "no bitcoin" policy. And when those start to appear we need people to create an on-boarding experience centered on those clients and relays. Once that sector of nostr becomes popular enough we can start evangelizing bitcoin RESPECTFULLY to those people and hope they see the light.

What I've noticed is that people I introduce to nostr are missing interesting content, interesting people to follow, doubt data protection because everyone can read all the notes, are even deterred by the zapping feature, because they do not believe in bitcoin, don't like that clients are not that stable and consistent.
The fact that I can build my own client as a dev makes me stay and also to zap around sats feels pretty good. 😍
When a new user (or company, #politician, #activist group) finds out they can’t permanently delete their own #nostr posts what’s the incentive to continue? Yes you can’t be censored but what about when it involves evidence that could be used in court? If anyone can setup a relay who’s stopping the #NSA from logging all posts similar to what they do with #tor exit relays? In a world where you can be jailed for a “tweet” people hesitate to contribute to a platform that doesn’t give them the confidence to know that if they delete something it’s not going to pop up on a relay somewhere else down the line should public narrative change. Which it does often. You end up in one of two camps. They both have drawbacks. A: you speak freely but can’t link it to your identity so nobody #IRL around you can recognize you and recommend you for similar projects, people, communities, etc. (see #satoshi ) or B: you link your profile to your identity and only say “safe” topics and mute your #freedom so you can operate in #commerce and you avoid what the #canadian tuckers went through with having their #bank accounts shut down. The good news is that if there’s a community of people who’s aware of this and trying to solve this problem it’s hard to find a better place than nostr. Once the deletion problem is solved the floodgates of adoption will open. I would love to be wrong about this. Please #changemymind
I think answer there is simple. Don't be a dick. If in an online world where we have to mimick meatspace and be authentic because you can't delete interactions or spoken words, your actions are going to have consequences.

I believe it’s very nuanced. I believe you’ve deleted things you posted online in your lifetime that didn’t have anything to do with you being a dick or not.
If you accept the functionality of “let’s just never have delete again 🤷♂️ guys and if we aren’t dicks online then we’re okay 👍 it’s simple!” Then it’s like saying you’re okay with your autocorrect, you’re okay with double posts because of weak cell signal, the use cases go on and on….

Besides this, yes, I don't delete. I am who I am, both my good takes and my bad ones.
It would be a game changer to filter out the horrible spam -I'm talking gore- if not by a SFW feature, then at least limiting the #content to users you follow. I'm still trying to recover from some of the images on here. 😭🤮
I agree, I have found a decent workaround for the global feed:
I have my global feed filtered to only display notes from the relay wss://nostr.wine
which does a great job filtering content.
I had to see for myself , a system of apps that run off of the same content that’s owned by the users who create it and not the apps the creation came through. No algorithms that try to get you to buy anything , like products or narrative ideas. I’ll be darned , it was true and now since I have joined there are more apps now that I haven’t even seen and they serve the users not the apps … naturally I always encourage this because from experience and all I ever hear is complaining about those other systems (yet those who complain won’t walk away) , even if you disagree with what someone says here, it doesn’t make your blood boil and staying positive is without a doubt the easiest path to take in this protocol , this positivity floods itself out into my daily (fiat) life too (I was never a butcoiner or cryptocurrency enthusiast ever, but from what I have learned being here , it’s #bitcoin for life!),, the world around us is designed to make our heads spin so much that you might think you need to be on something , I believe that is by design ,, sadly the intention of centralized social apps say they are designed to do good , but then why don’t they? I believe the human spirit was designed to do good and when it’s provided a space like #nostr where functionality that can be used in everyday life that isn’t “designed” to make you that way , it just happens, or so , it’s what I have witnessed/experienced,, most of the negative things I have read that someone has said about #nostr from another system , like telegram , are all “I heard this “ or “I heard that”,, that’s the clue right there , you can’t know what you are not willing to know , otherwise you will only know what others want you to know if you don’t get off your butt and experience it for your self .. it’s like keeping people on the sidelines till the games end but who will never get a chance to play and then using them to clean up after the ones who got to play because you let them stand on the sidelines, kind of slavish if you ask me ?
It’s hard to convince someone that freedom is something good if they don’t know they are not free and have had the idea of good reword in their brains.
Sorry I got a little off topic , but I have a hand full of contributors I am working towards helping them get setup in #nostr .. I’m not even a Dev, or hacker/cracker ,, but I know goodness when I see and feel it and it’s always my purpose to help share goodness ,, it’s something that keeps me positive and something I feel like I’m supposed to do.

Anyone who understands nostr will stay. Nostr is for digital media what orange coin is for money. It's like adopting Bitcoin sometime between 2009 and 2012.

Lol follow way more ppl is my first piece of advice. Like at least 500. You have to make #nostr what you want it to be. I suggest taking a look at follow lists of any content you like and start from there. In terms of ppl you know, that’s gonna take time… really appreciate the feedback! ⚡️
