Lots of accounts who complain about engagement (not necessarily the quoted one) have it the other way around. It’s like they’re screaming into the void, waiting for a nonexistent algo to pick up their notes and bring them to us
I posted a bit and lurked for 3-4 months before I finally just started commenting on people's notes, then people started talking back and forth and I realized that was where nostr shines. Real people (for the most part) just looking to discuss random things. I always try to tell the newbies to engage, engage, engage.
Engagement is for algo bros.
Scream into the void who cares if someone hears you. Manifest reality not engagement.

The vast majority of social media are algo bots, sales pitches and a waste of time......its no surprise people are using it less.
