How did private group chats just jump to 1.3k? If someone paid more is their vote rated higher or was my phone just slow to update the results? Not really fair if someone can have higher voting power.

So if I do an anonymous zap for 5k it will put marketplace in the lead? Doesn't seem like the best way to do it but I want to win😂. If that is the case, maybe it needs to be addressed. 1 vote per zap seems correct to me.
Perhaps start with one zap = one vote?
Also (I might be particularly stoooopid fyi) but accidentally replying to a DM when you click the notification bell instead of the mail section makes a public note. Again... I am particularly stupid, but I thought I'd mention. Perhaps there's a way of that not happening(?) ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Possible improvement: polls that use a fixed zap amount.
Easy for a whale to skew polls as is, and it's not clear if a large zap amount is a lot of zaps or a couple big ones.
The most appropriate use of a poll, and we'll worth zapping a developer to weigh in.

Any chance we can have a setting, to prevent DM notification being mixed in with regulars. Sometimes i get DMs and they destroy my rhythm 😅

Sorry, what's the note comment bug? :)
It's a bug that happens sometimes after you comment on someone's note then try to create your own note and instead of creating a new note on your profile the app posts it as a comment in that person's note.
Clearing the cache avoids this. Now I clear the cache every time I want to post a new note to guarantee that it isn't posted as a comment.
Is it still hapenning? It was supposed to be fixed on 0.32.0.
Oh, really? I wouldnt know because I made it a habit to clear the cache before every new note hahahahah

There's a very frustrating bug only a subset of phones see that freezes Amethyst. We would really appreciate it if you could fix that as a priority?
Whenever I open the profile of someone "famous" the app slows to a crawl. My suspicion (as a coder) is that fetching notes from relays is being done by the foreground task.🧐😢 I have to exit Amethyst completely and restart. Sometimes I have to force quit.😢
FYI, Iris seems to handle this just fine, probably using a separate thread...

I think you sellers need to chill with the vote. Get lists first to attract more user to nostr/amethyst. Then after the number of DAU/WAU/MAU whichever metric is already pass certain threshold, it's time to market it..
(Assuming it's mainly seller to be that spend sats on the marketplace vote)

Yes. Can be by subject or whatever you want. Basically so that you can have notes feed from certain group of people that is on the list. The list can be public or private
It's a good idea, although it's kinda presumptuous. We'll be building for something that might never happen, or at least not for a while. For now, we know bitcoiners like nostr and that they want to spend sats and build a circular economy so one could argue that the market place is a higher priority.
So what happens to the sats here? Do they just go to the person who did the poll?

It's cool like this. Imagine a musician running a poll asking which song they should play and upload a cover of. A really good interactive way to incentivise all kinds of creators.
The cool thing is that the clients could actually choose to also use the number of votes if they want (or some combination of the two).

I think that configurable file storage on relays would be a great idea. As one of the Chinese commenters pointed out, this would allow them to more easily bypass the great firewall. It would also presumably do the same for many other users in countries that are similarly restricted. A covert silk road for memes in and out you might say.
Maybe we can brand private groups 'lodges'? For mystique and twin peaks. Just an idea 🫨
