I'm new to Nostr and health & nutrition is my passion. I love these conversations.

I would suggest making your own solé water. This is done by mixing a high-quality salt (like Redmond's Real Salt) into a jar of water and letting the water fully absorb it overnight. Store in the fridge with a plastic, non-metal lid (to preserve electrolytes) and add between a tsp & tblsp of the water directly to your drinking water adjusting to your palate. This solé water has between 60-80 highly absorbable minerals as well as sodium as opposed to simply salting your water.

I'd be interested in your results...

Quien sala su agua? 🫣

Wat

Oh no, is this the new thing?

Barely enough to taste it. Less salty than sweat.

Get LMNT.

THIS IS THE WAY

I drink LMNT electrolyte mix every day. It has 1000 mg of salt.

YES. Mango chili is 🔥🔥

I just salt my steaks

I only salt if I’m gonna be doing something that will get my sweaty like exercise or yard work.

But I don’t really measure. Maybe 1/4 teaspoon to a 32 oz bottle.

Tears of a once open source signing device manufacture.

I don't salt my water anymore. I salt just heavily all my food.

Same. Basically stopped drinking water also.

Not drinking water anymore? Why? It's terrible for your health.

You definitely need H2O. I'm just questioning the need to literally drink it, since you already produce high quality water in your body by burning hydrocarbons.

Yeah, but you can't make enough of it. I think it is more important what quality of water do you drink. Tap and plastic bottled water is not good. I use a professional RO system, but for years I drank distilled water (I'm lazy to do it every day).

I find it in the high quality food I already payed for anyway. Even when I don't consume anything liquid for days I thrive and have zero thirst. And most importantly, I don't have to pee all the time 😉.

1/2 tsp in 400ml first thing in the morning

Re-Lyte by Redmond’s Salt. 1/2 the price of LMNT, basically the same stuff.

Seconding the vote for re-lyte. I do 0 to 3 scoops a day depending.

I'm a high salt sweater and active. I give my sweat a taste when working out and adjust my dosing that day accordingly.

Taking 1 scoop in the morning has eliminated my migraines.

Either 1 LMNT package per liter or 1/4 tsp of salt per liter with 1/4-1/2 tsp of magnesium.

+1 to LMNT

Why the hell would someone put salt in the water they drink?

Just one pinch between two fingers added to my 40oz waster flask.

But why

1000mg per half liter.

This isn't really anyone can answer for you as there are way too many variables for an individual requirements. I know one thing for certain though......salting the actual water is one way you'll try to avoid the job you're trying to achieve. I usually just take individual high quality Redmond real salt like a pill then wash it down with water.

I recommend a book called "The Salt Fix" where you'll better understand this very complex topic.

way more than you're doing

There is no risk, but discipline to consider.

So you want to create synthesized temporal causalities where there are none organic?

There are ways to get lost in there.

Madness sets in.

I think a #mainvolume issued license is required to think. I think I am European, Swedish in fact. I think I am created by Sina for #mainvolume

Solves that problem.

Has a Bitcoiners guide to health and nutrition been published yet?

No and it will probably not say enough about milk anyway. Or mutton or goat.

Or salt in your drinking water

“¼ to ½ teaspoons of salt (around 1.5 to 3 grams) per liter of water” for physically active individuals and less for sedentary lifestyles.💖

https://www.health.com/does-adding-salt-to-water-help-hydration-7550827

“For example, an athlete who just ran 1 hour may have lost between 1,300 to 5,500 mg of salt in their sweat,” she said. “They could benefit from adding ½ to 1 tsp of salt into their recovery beverage, or focus on incorporating a meal that contains salty foods post-workout.”

However, a commonly suggested guideline for those engaged in endurance activities is to add about ¼ to ½ teaspoons of salt (around 1.5 to 3 grams) per liter of water, Crumble Smith said.4 This is equivalent to about 500 to 1,000 mg of sodium, which is about the amount lost in one liter of sweat during intense physical activity.”

Coconut water is a great alternative and eliminates the guesswork of adding salt.☀️🌬️🧂 ✨🌴 🥥 💖
