That’s a terrifying thought 😂

Keto food tastes like ass.

Some people like eating ass

There better “select” ass then, from real chef. Not someone that has never tasted cake before.

There’s keto good and then there’s good good.

Better be*

Only if you're a bad cook. Same holds true for any food.

I am a terrible cook.

It's a very rewarding thing to learn. It's one of the things I actually enjoy AI assistants for too, very helpful.

I always said, i am willing to eat almost anything as long as i have a real chef that takes their shit seriously.

I’m still learning, but compared to most women I know, I suck

My greatest victory was learning how to make my own good sauces, after that everything tastes good. Bechamel, wine reduction, a bone stock, and a good tomato sauce go a long way to be able to make anything taste good.

What’s the best sauce that will go with anything?

Pretty hard to go wrong with bechamel, white sauce. It's a good base to add any flavor you want to. Probably the one I start with the most.

It really depends on what you're cooking and what your tastes are though. Food isn't a one size fits all thing, it's very subjective.

What do you put it on?

Anything & everything. It's a mother sauce that can have any flavour profile added to it. It's just butter , flour, and milk. Savoury, salty, cheesey, sweet, whatever the dish needs.

I vote pesto 🤤

And you post notes about pickle sandwiches?? Why are you holding back, sir?

Too busy cooking tasty meals 😂

I have put a couple recipes on zap.cooking, but honestly I'm more of a "just throw things in the pot/pan" kind of cook. It's not exact like a recipe. Vibe cooking I guess.

And pb&p sammies are a delicacy 😋

I'm the same way. Most of my recipes are approximations.

😂

The more things change, the more they stay the same 😅

Stop it I’m getting hungry

Same. Full on hangry

It takes at least a half decade of research and experimentation for a homemaker to become the revered motherly chef. Being a nostrich places you on firm footing.

Yeah and my mom didn’t really cook when I was growing up so the kids that were in the kitchen learning and helping got a huge head start 🫂

How does your mom feel about you throwing her under the bus?

I doubt she gives two fucks.

😄 does she cook now?

Occasionally

I always tell people starting out to watch Jacques Pepin's fundamentals of cooking he did for WGN in the early 90's.

☝️ this

I ate pre packaged crap until 30 years old. I was a good cook at around 35. The math checks out.

My dearest puts food in the oven while its still preheating. Your not alone

You’re not supposed to do that? 😄 why can’t you preheat the food?

“Pre heat” is when the ovens on bake & broil at the same time to get the temp up as quick as possible. You won't cook food you will char it at 180

Ooo I like it charred sometimes. I didn’t know about the bake & broil. 😎

I asked AI

I reheat food while the oven preheats it is actually my preferred way I think the food turns out better

My ovens an over achiever

Comparison = the thief of joy. ☠️
