Working my way up... when are you doing the next sovereignty workshop in nyc ๐ฌ?

And an intro was born.

anything specific you want to learn more about? ie mining, coinjoin, payjoin, covenant proposals, post quantum encryption, layer 2 solutions, history, role in macro, trading, etc?
๐ come to me for horrible parenting advice
Hopefully they're not putting themselves in physical danger often. But my comment also applies to kids wanting or not wanting to do something they'll regret.
Example:
Me: "We're going to grandmas, you always have fun there. Let's get your shoes on and go ๐ "
Kid: "I don't want to! ๐ค "
*more attempts to convince*
Me: "Alright, your mom and siblings will go without us and you'll stay home (maybe in timeout)"
*kid has an awful time at home without siblings and maybe doesn't say no just to say no next time*
Why do parents prevent kids from experiencing the consequences of their choices? If you tried to convince them and they won't be seriously hurt, then let things happen ๐คทโโ๏ธ

Self-custodial zapping works well with Alby Hub running on my home server and even moved my wife over as a subaccount without issues. Alby sunsetting their custodial wallet solution was the last push I needed to run my own node. Are you using built-in LDK backend (default) or something else?
You do need to manage your own channels, but the management can be minimal. The default options give you about 1 million sats of inbound liquidity in a single channel. Most users won't need more than this, but the options for more advanced management are there.
I admire your goals of freeing yourself and nostr:npub18m76awca3y37hkvuneavuw6pjj4525fw90necxmadrvjg0sdy6qsngq955 from Appleโs boot, William
But at the same time youโre building out the Damus Notedeck that requires Damus Purple that cost 15,000 sats/month or 150,000 sats/year, the original and free Damus has a worse UX than ever before.
Everytime I open nostr:npub18m76awca3y37hkvuneavuw6pjj4525fw90necxmadrvjg0sdy6qsngq955, the app is extremely laggy and slow, and it takes forever until Iโm able to push the buttons I want.
Therefore, after using Damus for two years on the nostr:npub1rznlzpg529u8j39a8qe7tapsygd54qp5qyr5jyue7whwpw79rsjqmzr4ly business identity, Iโve now replaced nostr:npub18m76awca3y37hkvuneavuw6pjj4525fw90necxmadrvjg0sdy6qsngq955 with nostr:npub1yzvxlwp7wawed5vgefwfmugvumtp8c8t0etk3g8sky4n0ndvyxesnxrf8q on iOS, and nostr:npub1n0stur7q092gyverzc2wfc00e8egkrdnnqq3alhv7p072u89m5es5mk6h0 on MacOS.
I hope Damus gets enough funding for co-workers and developers so that the original and free nostr:npub18m76awca3y37hkvuneavuw6pjj4525fw90necxmadrvjg0sdy6qsngq955 gets usable again.

You can follow the Developer Setup on the Github page to run Notedecj using cargo (rust) on your desktop.

Oh i see what you're getting at but i don't really see "*mega sigh*" as Will "bitching about their users to their users". Looks more like exhaustion from difficulty to communicate the benefit of the "pet project" to people who want to add gifs to their posts more easily. If people really wanted that, theyd submit a pr or fork it, no?
Notedeck runs nostrdb which fetches your notes and has a relay interface for the connected nostr client. The relay also uses negentropy to sync notes with other relays so that notes are spread through the network and decentralized.
I probably got some of that wrong, but I'm bored at work and nostr loves to let people know when theyre wrong so the right answer will come along.

A graph showing failure rates over time or reliability as a % of successful swaps over past n days/weeks/months would be cool, quick way to help users decide if they want to use a mint.

What version are you running? It might be called "Node backup" in older versions. I suggest upgrading before migrating, but probably nostr:npub1xv8mzscll8vvy5rsdw7dcqtd2j268a6yupr6gzqh86f2ulhy9kkqmclk3x or nostr:npub1zk6u7mxlflguqteghn8q7xtu47hyerruv6379c36l8lxzzr4x90q0gl6ef can provide better guidance with that.
