Been joining a lot of Ordinals discussions on Twitter Spaces the last week with NFT people to try to connect with that community.
Hearing a lot of nonsense from them re: Bitcoin pre-ordinals.
Crypto people *actually* think there’s only ~600 devs working on Bitcoin projects.
They actually believe that Bitcoin had a “toxic community” until ordinals.
I tried explaining that they have all been sleeping on Bitcoin second & third layer development, sidechain development, global bitcoin adoption as well as bitcoin-adjacent projects like Nostr, Holepunch, Hypercore etc.
These folks now believe they are bringing culture, fun and diversity to Bitcoin.
What is this psychological phenomenon called?
They think bitcoin had a security budget problem, and because of them, bitcoin security is now fixed.
To their credit, the majority of them all seem to revere BTC and the Bitcoin blockchain.
Lots of this behavior, although they don’t “attack” bitcoiners (except Udi who always does) they do mostly keep it positive.
Any chance of Nostr integration, or at least TBDEX’s “web5” stack like Zion v2 did?
Ok I have my #[0] embassy running finally with the bitcoin blockchain downloaded and Core Lightning + Bitcoin Proxy & Electrum Server.
What’s something useful to do with it next?
I don’t have any Bitcoins on it yet…
Testing. Keanu loves Bitcoin and clowns NFTs. he is the one.

Is there any reason to keep a smaller set of relays instead of a larger one?
I suppose spam reduction is better if you only connect to paid relays that offer spam reduction?
Nostr celebrity #[0] brought up a great point on Twitter - we should switching from sharing npubs to sharing NIP05 aliases.
So for example: https://iris.to/andre@zbd.ai
Or my profile: https://iris.to/rockstar@snort.social
I hope more clients will start supporting these links. So far Iris seems to be the only one doing it. Otherwise search using alias is how you find people.
Also, I saw that #[1] has https://iris.to/sirius
It's direct redirection for when domain matches. I'm hoping Martti will make this publicly accessible soon.
These are DIDs right
I’m not only impressed with myself that I have not looked at the price today, but also impressed with my Nostr friends that I don’t see the price in my feed either.
😂
I just signed up to the upcoming lighting privacy wallet MutinyWallet.com waitlist with my Nostr pubkey.
This is another game changer use case for Nostr.
Businesses can send messages to customers via encrypted p2p DMs using Nostr pubkeys 🤯
Nostr can stand in for email in this way.
A lot of OGs have seen a lot of things come and go with big hype cycles, so they are probably jaded on new stuff like this, sitting it out or trying to be patient before sinking too much time in.
I unfollowed tech crunch on here, but I’m still seeing their posts in my feed. How do I fix that?
