If your battery system is like the ones we install at the telco i work for, you may be able to disconnect the leads from the battery to restore service. That could also not work if your isp has a different setup than ours
Possible variation, but I would expect it to be pretty uniform state to state.

I think there's a probability that the powers behind the scenes wanted this outcome. If the recession hits like it seems it must, Donald Trump and "populism" will be holding the bag. Take the fall now for a greater gain in the future.

At the very least, it feels like tossing a monkey wrench into the system. It probably won't "fix" anything, but it might grind gears enough to give space for the people who are actually working on parallel solutions.
