Pretty sure damus adds a p tag, if not thats a bug 🤔
Out of #primal #freefrom and #damus, as far as I can tell, only Primal allows a user to follow a hashtag, and none allow a user to mute a hashtag. (Please instruct me if I’m wrong, or if a Nostr client exists that allows both!)
Being able to mute notes containing certain hashtags and being able to follow other hashtags would be powerful tools for users to curate their feeds. There is a need and desire for this.
I’d like to emphasize that NSFW is just one hashtag people may wish to mute. I’ve seen other users wishing to mute religious hashtags, or temporarily take a break from Bitcoin-related content, etc. So keeping the ability to select which hashtags to follow and mute general and easy to edit is something I think is important.

Damus can follow hashtags. right now we have the option to mute the nsfw hashtag, but should probably make that more general.

On the set status page the times for it to expire get covered by the keyboard, when I try to swipe the keyboard away sometimes the status screen gets swiped away as well. On this evening of September 11, I am pleased to announce that I have tagged a Ditto alpha1 release and deployed it to https://gleasonator.dev
Ditto LIVES. Here's what you need to know:
- It's Soapbox on Nostr.
- Ditto pretends to be a Mastodon server while using the Nostr protocol.
- You can use Mastodon apps other than Soapbox (but you need to obtain a Nostr private key first).
- ActivityPub is not supported yet, but it will be. It's part of what makes Ditto, Ditto.
- Ditto is about building communities on Nostr, similar to ActivityPub.
- Nostr uses private keys. There is still a lot of work to do in Soapbox to improve this experience.
- This is not optimized. Please excuse any slowness or glitches. If something isn't working, try refreshing the page. I will improve this.
- It's still a demo. This is just for poking around, so don't get too attached.
This is just the beginning. alpha1 is just BARELY usable. But I want to get the ball rolling. Things are going to change a lot in both Soapbox and Ditto. These things take time, but we will win. Thank you all for your patience, enthusiasm, and support!

nostrdb has some other crazy optimizations like multithreaded ingester that will find the ID and check for its existence in the DB before continuing json parsing and checking signatures. So some web nostr db could steal those.
