FWIW I’m pretty confident that if you stripped out anything extraneous here you’d end up with something that is 99.99% as CPU-/network-/memory-/etc-intensive as bitcoind with -maxmempool=0. It’s basically that or you jump to asking a server for SNARK proofs of the full chain.

It really does not work well with Talkback at all. As an example, in the setup screen, you can click on change the tor settings and the combo boxes are "unlabeled". When you get logged in, the feed manager at the top in the middle is "unlabeled. When you are reading posts, it speaks each word, one word at a time like. Its. Its. Own. Sentence. Which. Is. Super. Annoying.

Are there any desktop clients that work well with Plasma? I'm switching away from Windows on my main PC this October so it'd be interesting to know if there are any.

Do you prefer 1 main column layout (Iris) or 2 main columns (Jumble)?

It's convenient to keep the main feed open while opening profiles and threads on the right. Most of all, you don't need to care about remounting the feed on back nav and keeping scroll position.

But it can be a bit more hectic and overwhelming feel, harder to focus. Maybe it could be a configurable option. Either way, Iris could use the right column more efficiently; maybe have configurable widgets that you can add and remove. You can now also toggle the right column off if you don't want it.

It will block 98% of spammers. I set a price of 0.10 cents of my forum using BTCPay server simply to register and it basically killed 100% of spam.

What experience exactly? I do not know of any service where they have implemented my idea. Where it cost money to do something.

I'm sure some spam will get through but pretty much no spam. The sats should be split between the relays and receiver of the DM because if you're making money the spam won't be so annoying and it helps us see how much spam is still getting through. I don't want the rekay hiding the sats from us.

I run my own relay so I still get the sats.

That's acceptable too. Anything that cost a tiny bit of money is a massive deterrent against spammers and scammers.
