You are only naming two options for the sake of societal outcomes: eggs are humans or eggs are not humans. I am saying that there is a third: it's neither. You can't label them human life because there is no agreed definition for when a human life begins. And if we can't agree on an global, undeniable, objective truth, which I truly think it is impossible to define in this case, I will always side with the side that gives freedom to individuals to make the call on a case by case basis. In this case, the freedom goes to the mother as the only human with enough skin in the game to decide and suffer with the decision forever.

Bitcoin also loves resources...

Nah, they are still eggs for me. People can do whatever they want with their own eggs.

Almost every clear lenses has UV protection which, if you are in the sun a lot, it's highly recommended.

100s of spaniards with tens of thousands of warriors from local tribes. Aztecs practiced human sacrifice in large scale. They believed that if they stopped the sun would stop rising. So they started wars will all neighboring tribes to get people to sacrifice. The spaniards, in this particular case, were heroic.

We did put the first spec and then the NIP changed and we never updated, I just deleted the button :(

I am not sure what's the difference, but it is about their NWC server, yes.

Take a look at the 1Password model. No free layers. It's about piece of mind. All upsell-based models require marketing that centers on suggesting to base users that they are not doing enough. There is just no way around it. And that drives anxiety and makes them hate the free layer of your product, regardless of how good it is.

On the 1Password, I pay the base layer and I know I am as valuable as a customer as the other stuff they sell. They never offered more stuff to me because they don't need to and they do not want me thinking that I am not doing enough to secure my keys, even at the base layer. It makes a huge difference.

Nunchuk nostr:nprofile1qqsvxq03xdev3uxehjqcdkr5lfzl5vawmcf7vm6ps73m6ghwg8y4k2spz4mhxue69uhk2er9dchxummnw3ezumrpdejqz9nhwden5te0dehhxarj9eekcmm5dpujuamfdcq3yamnwvaz7tmsw4e8qmr9wpskwtn9wvuasnac is quite underrated. Feature-dense and good UI. It would be my pick.

Blockstream nostr:nprofile1qqsfy229w70e8lgtxavlz9t78k06yrel6fxyhreteafqet8kfxhhwmgpzemhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuurjd9kkzmpwdejhgqgewaehxw309ac8yetdd96k6tnswf5k6ctv9ehx2ap0dm7kcr is decent and very well worth a try

Electrum does the job well and it's quite functional

Bluewallet is really good for newbies. Probably the best to recommend to them.

Cove (iOS-only) has been making the rounds

Nunchuck & Blockstream only exist to get users to join their premium multisig/inheritance bullshit services. It gets quite annoying as as base user. Not to blame the companies, I think they are great. But I hate this upselling bullshit.

Electrum on mobile is a joke.

Agree on BlueWallet. But they are also offering too much already.

Haven't tried Cove.

Simplicity. Balance, send and receive. No jargons. No options. No technical terms. No L2s, No tricks, No server tracking, no buy/sell bitcoin, no ads, etc.

It could be. As long as the remaining processes run as a mobile app, not as deamon. The app show start, sync and be removed from memory every 15 mins or so. Than a separate Android Service simply listens to 0-conf transactions for simple notifications. The important part is a complete redesign of the interface to do the simplest thing Bitcoin does and nothing else.

nostr:npub1gcxzte5zlkncx26j68ez60fzkvtkm9e0vrwdcvsjakxf9mu9qewqlfnj5z man, the outbox build is totally unusable for me.. wat are we gonna do

I feel bad now for thinking it was a good idea. Although it is pretty nice for responding to notes, just not feeds?

Why is it unusable? What's happening?

Yeah.. I had inline replies planned for amethyst but got too distracted.

Yeah, lots of people tried. I remember 4 or 5 startups that had payments to send messages. This is an old idea. All of them failed because instead of killing spam, they also killed all the legitimate people that wanted to send you a message. In the end, nobody received anything.

On Nostr, we have seem lots of Zapvertizing. When people send you zaps to display a notificaition with they brand image or promotion. Lots of companies do this right now. Some people see more zapvertizers than normal notifications.

The point is that Spam only exists because it is profitable for the sender. And that profit margin is large enough that they can send you some sats to get the message through.
