i dont understand why bitcoin lovers like to express their digital currency in another fiat currency like USD. Why would that matter to you as a bitcoin loyalist? Wouldn't the value of bitcoin be what goods & services someone would exchange you for your bitcon?

dont be too optimistic there buddy. if there is a major recession...ppl will dump their bitcoin for hard-cold cash. i dont know of many places that accept bitcoin over cash to pay the rent or the mortgage. we'll see how bitcoin fares during a major recession and with unemployment over +10%.

these ppl on here are giving you BAD advice. never allocate more than 5%-10% of your net worth in any single investment. that's basic diversification rules. ie. dont put all your eggs in one basket.

not finite...havent forks occurred before? not really decentralized, the whole system is run by a few large exchanges and miners...hence the issue with "forks" in the past and squabbles on bitcoin protocols. not really censorship-resistant as all exhanges now follow KYC (know your client) laws and could (in theory ban you from transacting) and thus not really open to "everyone".

actually, fiat has value because of the government's power to tax (has nothing to do with trust at all).

I've never used Google's picture software so i cant attest to quality differences. However, the pixel+grapheneos photos i've taken seem fine to me (in terms of quality). But I'm sure there are picture enhancements google's software does that you wont find on grapheneos.
