Many #Bitcoin related projects, and even one #Nostr, in this year Human Rights Foundation's top 15 Freedom Tech projects.

Pour les francophones de la rรฉgion de Neuchรขtel, je prรฉsente #Nostrย ce soir:

Good reminder today. When building for the sovereign web, ๐š๐ฅ๐ฐ๐š๐ฒ๐ฌ think decentralization first. And when convenience really requires the implementation of a potential bottleneck or single point of failure, at least implement some kind of fallback or timeout callback that would allow the client to try another path.

Until recently, I was a strong supporter of IPFS, as it solved this kind of problem (moved the resolver by the client). My opinion has now changed, and I agree with most of the criticism of IPFS, mainly regarding its overall performance. But content addressing wasn't such a bad idea.

Blossom developers should at least try to salvage the good ideas that were in IPFS.

(this one stops the charging if temperature is above 50C or bellow 0C to protect the lion battery, you need to solder a 10k thermistor to it)

Thank you !

(Can't zap you for some reason, I receive an error from your wallet's callback)

Please configure your lightning address for Nostr !

I wanted to zap you for this comic, and I'll probably want to zap you for a lot more to come, now that I found out that you are using Nostr, after having followed you since the early ages of the Faceboogramnet !

Brilliant takedown of the 'NC' (#Nakamoto Coefficient) metric by nostr:nprofile1qqsqhl4hutu2gu0yjmr6n7zru7evsraa2c47y6c3hyjtknvp2jdl3qgpr9mhxue69uhhwmm59e3xzumnwp5hxar0dshx7un89uqapgrp

Any estimated potential timeline for those devices to market ?

(I would love to see Nothing having their future devices meeting your hardware standards..)

Those are the reasons why I did not switch to Bitcoin Knots.

Mainly to the fact that this project has only one maintainer not even signing his commits.

But if we go back to the subject, the OP_RETURN debate has been so heated, I simply chose to not upgrade past minor 29 until I can really observe and understand what the real implications will be.

It's not about the operation itself. Fighting global fascism requires to protect the identities of the resistants.

Think about what is already happening in the US, with people being denied just for having shared a meme. That is nothing compared to the potential societal shadow banning that could be inflicted to resistants who weren't careful enough with their digital profile.

These people and this whole organization is endangering its participants, and even supporters, lives by using these kind of social media for their communication.

Sad to watch so much good energy and actions being literally cancelled by feeding the state surveillance tools instead of using secure communication and publication channels.

Me and my teams been working exclusively on self hosted Gitlab instances, even for open source projects, since MS acquired GitHub.

I've been trying to convince everyone I could that continuing to use GitHub was probably a bad idea.

Now unfortunately my "told you so" time is coming...

Yep. Apparently coming back online now (but still very slow). It was down for 30 min.

The cause is in the distribution network architecture that is not adapted to modern / decentralized power production schemes.

Nothing to do with solar itself.

It seems that empowering the masses about energy management will take even longer than it is on the topic of money... ๐Ÿคฆ

I've just discovered NIP-13 !

What an excellent way of combating spam on social networks, and for anyone who's already raised their finger to me about energy consumption, certainly much more efficient than if centralised servers had to run algorithms dedicated to this task.

This note is actually to test it, with difficulty 12 ๐Ÿ’ช !

Did your client validate it ?
