Good Morning β˜€οΈ

New to nostr πŸ˜ƒ

nostr:npub1r8wdfruydenz84fxfespcswuhcvyatx6umtd5xguexup49u500xskf50hn β€˜s TikTok convinced me to pack a suitcase and head on over. I’ve been discovering this app since 5:12am. It feels like my brain just unlocked a hidden vault inside The Escape RoomπŸ€―πŸ˜‚ Happy to be here! #newtonostr

Welcome. You have been busy, 191 follows already. I like to follow hashtags that interest me.

I listen to podcasts on fountain. It is pretty good, there are some bugs, but not too bad. I like the built in lightning wallet. All my earned sats and some that I occasionally add go to podcasters. It does use up a bunch of space on my phone, I'm going to have to look into this.

I get this too. I like to read fiction before bed to shut my brain down, otherwise I try to solve whatever I'm working on or something useless. This is rarely productive because I'm tired but can't sleep.

I have started avoiding blue light about 1.5 hours before I want to go to bed. This helps me get to sleep faster.

I found this at Merriam Webster πŸ˜‚

I before e, except after c

Or when sounded as 'a' as in 'neighbor' and 'weigh'

Unless the 'c' is part of a 'sh' sound as in 'glacier'

Or it appears in comparatives and superlatives like 'fancier'

And also except when the vowels are sounded as 'e' as in 'seize'

Or 'i' as in 'height'

Or also in '-ing' inflections ending in '-e' as in 'cueing'

Or in compound words as in 'albeit'

Or occasionally in technical words with strong etymological links to their parent languages as in 'cuneiform'

Or in other numerous and random exceptions such as 'science', 'forfeit', and 'weird'.

I love running. I have ran a few half marathons. I had a meniscus tear that has finally healed after 4 months. I had to work on stabilizing muscles to help heal.

I can run again, but haven't done much, don't want to push it. I'll likely stick to biking and hiking for now. I'll have to check out this protocol.

Oh shit this ground is hot πŸ˜‚

I would love YouTube links to open on newpipe or freetube. Is there a way to do this? I always forget to copy the link then get the YouTube cookies popup then go back to copy.

Mostly hiking. These dunes are mostly forested. Open areas have sand cherries for foraging. These tough shrubs will establish on very windy and sandy locations allowing other things to get going.

I collected a bunch of pits to plant on my property.

Is the dumb rule of 'I before e except after c' still taught in school? So many words break this rule. It seems it applies to words that come from French, like receive and deceive.

Did anyone else point out words that broke this rule to their teacher?

The only rule we need today is 'use spell check' πŸ˜‚

I hate it when smoke detectors alert me to danger. Lol. Not very effective if they weren't annoying.

I dislike the planned obsolescence built into these things. I had 3 of them go bad within a week. They still work enough to do a bunch of beeping. Are there any technical reasons for this or do they just want me to buy more of them?

Some people in the speed running crowd have been making challenge levels for the best players. Most popular games for speed running have them. Super metroid is my favorite game to watch
