The day has come! 🫣 For a while, I’ve been looking at the wonderful Bitcoin community, shyly, from the sidelines, supporting people and what they do for Bitcoin.
I thought I had nothing to say, or share with the world.
Then I realized, as a recruiter, that I had spent a fine amount of time daily, talking to job seekers about how they could improve their chances of landing their first Bitcoin-only job, or with the managers, how they could improve their recruiting. So it hit me- I have a lot to share, and I should write it down!
Today, I humbly present you my two ebooks. One is for job seekers in the Bitcoin industry, and another one is for start-ups on how to improve, or build from the ground up, their hiring processes.
I do this for the Bitcoin community, with the hope that we can create a common ground for job seekers and companies to better understand each other. For that reason, these guides are completely free, and no data will be collected.

Blockstream Green Question: I'm teaching Intro to Bitcoin as an elective to 5 kids at my middle school.
We've set up and recovered Blockstream Green wallets on their iPads with both Mainnet and Testnet single sig wallets.
We've successfully moved both real and fake sats around, BUT the app takes FOREVER to load on the iPads.
We have a FAT gigabit fiber connection; averages 20% utilization
I've opened the firewall out to blockstream.com and blockstream.info.
I've removed any caching for those sites.
Does anyone know how the Green Wallet "talks" to Blockstream? Is there another domain or port I need to open up outbound etc.?

We're a Preschool - 8th grade private school (non-profit) in the LA area. I've been the "tech guy" there for a long time and fell down the rabbit hole about 3 years ago. I've been in orange pill mode ever since and this is the first public facing thing they let me do.
Behind the scenes, we're running nodes, trying to aim our Blockstream satellite dish at their satellite (impossible so far ha), have an OpenNode account in case they let me take bitcoin payments and an Unchained vault in case I hook me a whale that wants to be the first to donate a full coin to the school! 😂
I really love the place and want to set up their infrastructure so that when it really hits, they are ready to for it.
Long term, I'd also love to get a school Fedimint going starting with the kids and the snack shack, but maybe branching to the parents. It would be super cool to get all tuition and everything else rolling through that I think no?
I just need a staff to implement this shit now HA
Bitcoin in Middle School Update: Our first semester of the 'Intro to Bitcoin' elective for 6th-8th graders had a rocky start. Initially, no students enrolled, but just before the deadline, two based kids signed up - game on!
By the end of semester one we learned kids:
• Love CypherPunks and permissionles FOSS everything
• Can create and restore a Green Wallet on iOS
• Can install and configure Bitcoin Core, Umbrel and Start9 types of nodes
• Can open lightning channels between our class nodes, thanks nostr:npub1rxysxnjkhrmqd3ey73dp9n5y5yvyzcs64acc9g0k2epcpwwyya4spvhnp8, and hate high fees
• Can absolutely understand "not your keys, not your coins"
• Are getting the "stay humble and stack sats" - middle school humble - baby steps.
Exponential Growth?? - Now in semester two, our class size is blowing up a MASSIVE 100% to 4 students (ok with one returning)! At this growth rate, I'm pretty sure eleventy billion kids will be in that class soon - to the moon yo!
