nostr:npub1getal6ykt05fsz5nqu4uld09nfj3y3qxmv8crys4aeut53unfvlqr80nfm I see this notification in the NWC Connections section of my Alby web dashboard.

I would like to use Alby Hub for all my NWC connections, but I am unsure how to do so for isolated wallets I have set up in Alby Hub. There does not seem to be a way to view the connection string again, or generate a new connection string for the same isolated wallet.

Moreover, those who I have set up isolated wallets for should be able to generate their own NWC connections for Nostr clients and other lightning integrated apps they want to use, but they have no access to my Alby Hub to set those up. Their only option is to set them up through their web dashboard.

First, you need to have an Alby account, if you don't already. Alby is invite only, so you'll need to find someone with a spare invite code.

Next, you'll need to get Alby Hub installed on your Start9. A video guide can be found here: https://guides.getalby.com/user-guide/v/alby-account-and-browser-extension/alby-hub/alby-hub-flavors/umbrel-start9-etc

Next, you will need to connect your Alby Hub to your Alby account. This can be done by either giving Alby Hub access to your entire node balance, which is fine if you are the only one who needs to use your node's liquidity, or you can set up an "isolated" wallet connection, that keeps track of its balance separately from your node's full balance. Whichever you choose, copy and paste the full connection string into your Alby account when it asks you to connect a wallet.

Finally, you will want to set up NWC from your Alby account to Nostr clients you use, like #Amethyst. Go to the "Connect" tab on your web dashboard in your Alby account, and then click on NWC Connections and "+ Connect App." Give your new connection a name and a monthly budged, click next, and then copy paste the connection string to whatever Nostr client you use.

This should get you set up with one-tap-zaps in your Nostr client, and you will just need to put your Alby lightning address into your profile to start receiving zaps to your node.

Depends on what size UTXOs you are ending up with on the other side of the coin-join. Having some in the 1m sat range, and others in 2.5m and 5m sat ranges is probably fine. You don't want a bunch of dust UTXOs, to be sure, but those would be plenty big enough for long-term storage.

I have never used Wasabi's sweep feature. It would be useless if it consolidates all your coin-join UTXOs into a single UTXO, but strongly doubt that is what it does.

Not sure what filtering options Damus has, as I am on Android. However, paring your relay selection down to a couple web-of-trust relays may do the trick, and then start adding back in a public relay or two.

If you start seeing the spam again, take the most recently added public relay back off.

A couple web-of-trust relays to try would be wot.utxo.one and wot.nostr.party

Were you intending this post to be a reply to someone? It doesn't appear to reference any original post.

In #Amethyst you can mute phrases, and that has been an effective way of eliminating the posts from view.

However, it doesn't solve the issue of those notes still being stored on the relays. Relays themselves need to implement better spam detection tools.

I just stripped out all relays except my own citrine instance, filter.nostr.wine, and a couple web-of-trust relays.

ReplyGuy is now gone for me.

Any recommendations for open source video editing software?

#asknostr

Haven't noticed too much of that. Occasionally it won't load notes of folks outside my WoT, but only very occasionally and I suspect it may be better about showing me notes because I have global=all turned on.

Think of it this way, it is a relay that pulls in relevant notes from several major public relays, but filters out most spam. Additionally, when you post to the relay, it automatically rebroadcasts your notes to several other relays.

By default it will only pullnin notes from your follows and their follows, but you can also view all users notes (minus spam) in the global feed if you want.

Next to none. The point of a coin-join is to hide in a crowd of UTXOs that came out of the mix. Since they are all the same size on the other side of the mix, it isn't possible to determine which outputs are associated with the KYC'd inputs. If you consolidate them back into a similar sized UTXO as your KYC'd inputs, it is highly likely they will be linked back to you.

#Amethyst would be the best client I know of for on-the-fly relay selection on a per-post basis.

lol apparently the nostr:npub1pu3vqm4vzqpxsnhuc684dp2qaq6z69sf65yte4p39spcucv5lzmqswtfch client considers this post intolerance and hate speech.

Pathetic. I will be avoiding this client like the plague. nostr:note1n65749vamq9qtrsh8j7xgclpt7qym5yzssta5s233p3cnp2g0fqqjk872p

You can't pull this kind of garbage on #Nostr and expect to have people continue to use your client nostr:npub1pu3vqm4vzqpxsnhuc684dp2qaq6z69sf65yte4p39spcucv5lzmqswtfch.

Folks will just move to a different client and ignore your existence.

It's been #Amethyst for a while, and I haven't seen any other Android clients that are anywhere close.

That said, I also use Spring Browser in order to more easily use web clients on mobile. Spring has a built in signer extension and you can set it up with NWC so you can easily zap on any web-app without having to set up separate NWC connections for each. Sadly, I think the project may be abandoned, as it hasn't had any updates since December 2023.

You can choose to send to only that relay, and then only those who have read permissions from that relay will be able to view it, but there is currently no way to prevent them from rebroadcasting out to other relays that I am aware of.

Spam bot that was spinning up loads of separate npubs to reply-spam everyone's posts from a variety of relays. Seems to have subsided for now, but we definitely need a solution for similar spam attacks that won't have an undue adverse effect on new users.

Been there. Same game as the culprit, too.

More recently it's been BGIII that keeps me up later than tomorrow-Dikaios1517 would like.
