Growing up the messaging that my peers are I received was that we could do anything. The lie being that it's possible to do everything. Have a career, be a mum. And have a fulfilling relationship. I know I was made to feel that being 'just a mum' was to have failed. That I SHOULD be doing so much more. Anyway, women can do whatever they want but need to know that there are tradeoffs and doing it 'all' is a myth.
Ok wow this is a new way of using starter that I've not heard of before. What are your ratios for the starter salt water and flour? I'll give it a go.
I have a very simple tortilla recipe that I love. Can you share your sourdough tortilla recipe?

The favourite food in our house is Guacamole.
Guacamole is the name o f the cow the steaks come from 😆
They have not paid for themselves this year. Ive have however learned a lot of lessons in keeping bees this year. We've had drought so I've been feeding them, the queen started to fail so I requeened the hive and in their weak state they got some pests that I've had to manage. All of that took time and money and the truely heartbreaking thing is that they might not be strong enough to survive the winter. In the past I've had a hive I was pulling 40kg of honey off with plenty left over. I do know productive bee keepers who are able to cover the cost of the hive maintenance and even make a profit.
"People ask me why I am speaking out so often on this topic. It’s simple. It’s biology, it is not about exclusion or not being tolerant / accepting. Someone trans has to do it.
Men don’t belong in women’s sports. Period."

Yeah four and I'm learning how much I don't know and noticing more of the gaps in my knowledge. I definitely felt like I knew everything 2 years in 😆
I'm in my 4th year of beekeeping 😭

I agree with the exception that the centre of Australia isn't culturally unfriendly it's just completely empty of people. Aus is as big a land form as the continental US but vastly empty desert in the whole middle bit.

Just keep doing what you've been doing. If you've incubated chicken eggs before it's the same but a week longer. Check your humidity level and be patient.
I like to brush the soil away from my seeds to see if they are germinating. This is the life advice I need. I just want to hurry up and see things thriving!
The choice of where to spend your physical, emotional, mental and financial energy is freedom.
I finally got my first seeds in the ground for winter. Probably a it late but that's ok.
I'm going to be using a new method of managing weeds where I just plant more of what I want to fill in all the gaps so weeds can't grow!
Full and flourishing gardens in goal!
Thank goodness for Tony ❤️
I had to have a long think about that one too.
I don't want to eat him 😱
I just need to clip one wing so he will stop flying over my chicken proof fence I to the veggie garden
How to catch a rooster
Step 1: Identify the rooster you want to catch.
Step 2: Corner the rooster.
Step 3: Exert much effort chasing and cornering the rooster as many times as necessary.
Step 4: Resolve to make a better plan to catch the rooster tomorrow.
Argh looks like it's gone the way of Facebook and Reddit.
Got to say though it's pretty cold where we live so the blankets and hoodies are definitely on. 🥶
