The "star" they followed was taught to them in Persia by Daniel, during a certain alignment of the planets and constellations that occurs about every 800 years, which happened around 6BC.
Plenty of open source is compromised. Being open source isn't a panacea. Yes, it CAN be reversed, but which ten lines in 100,000,000 lines of code introduces a vulnerability?

You think this is ridiculous, I understand, but to many this is a serious problem. Symbolism, even if innocent, carries with it implications. Personally, I dismiss the possibility of it having ulterior motives, simply because graphene indeed is a hexagonal lattice. However, nearly every shitcoin's symbol is hexagonal, as is every major corporation's logo, most of which exist only because of masonic and secret agency connections. This is not good company. Regardless of who is making commits, it remains in question who is funding the development. The hexagonal symbol points in a direction that deserves suspicion. Laughing it off, or mocking it may feel like the right response. It is not.
No politician is "on your side" any more than your plumber is "on your side". They are hired agents, but their loyalties lie solely with whomever cuts them the biggest check.
Github/Atlassian is really two or three separate things. It's the DVCS hosting piece firstly. Secondly it's the repository/branch/tag browser interface which includes tickets, PRs, PR commentary, and merge history, wiki, release tracking/downloads, and other minor features like fork-tracking/browsing. The third feature, which often is completely separate, is the build server which could also be distributed (maybe cryptographically verifiable?) and the build-success/failure could conceptually be monitored/linked into the general interface and posted against the project.

Elliptic curve (EC) cryptography isn't as simple as RSA (large-prime based, signing and encrypting uses the same algorithm). The "signing" and "encrypting" algorithms are different in ECC, so to say "quantum will break Bitcoin's encryption" isn't exactly accurate, because Bitcoin only uses the signing-algorithm. Addspam Back is playing with words, the technical equivalent of correcting the conjugation of your verbs. He is saying the proper "concern" is when bitcoin's EC signing algorithm (ECDSA) is broken by quantum.
