The english speaking community from the Americas is the majority right?

Let's be honest with ourselves. It's just slavery wrapped in a costume.

You really shouldn't be hosting web sites from RPis. It's for playing with electronics and automation and prototyping, not for self-hosting. You shouldn't even be self-hosting internet facing websites in 2024. You can use github/gitlab pages for static sites.

Income tax, payroll tax, property tax, VAT, Duties, endless regulations and on and on. It's a monument to human ingenuity that our civilization keeps moving forward at all.

Exactly! nostr:npub1tcekjparmkju6k83r5tzmzjvjwy0nnajlrwyk35us9g7x7wx80ys9hjmky you need an LLM in your life. Could be open source or used through an API, but summaries and asking questions about content is a unique LLM strength. You can combine it with voice recognition and TTS to tune the use case for your individual needs.

The plan is to self-host a nostr relay and ln node or Mutiny wallet, but my home lab is not ready yet. Ik excuses, excuses.. 🤷‍♂️

Yeah I need to find some time and setup a Mutiny wallet 🤔

Cheers.

Let's not dilute the importance of the word shitcoin by using it to shit on everything that isn't pure bitcoin. You can think of the Liquid chain as a federated business. You should treat it as a third party and assess the risks of dealing with Liquid as you would assess the risks of dealing with any other third party. That means you shouldn't be comparing Liquid to Bitcoin but Liquid to a Bitcoin ETF (a centralized third party). The Liquid chain does have utility value for some people and businesses and while I'm a maxi and want to live in a world on the Bitcoin standard, that is not the reality today.

Nice! This would be ideal for AMAs and community support for FOSS projects. But it needs support for tags, threads, topics or some other level of categorization/separation.

I've been using and writing open source since the 90s so I know about the slow but relentless progress that open source and interoperable protocols enable. So I recognized the inevitability within an hour of joining nostr.

Creating a key and profile on one client, but then having that profile accessible on different apps that have different feature sets and target audiences is such a breath of fresh air. Then I wondered how many people, app developers and businesses have had their hands tied or been kicked out of the walled gardens that are the centralized social networks and appstores. They all have incentives to join #nostr and build where they can't be rugged on a whim.

I just started delving in to the world of #podcasting 2.0 and #v4v with #wavlake and #fountain . It's very exciting to see innovation in this space. I can login to wavlake with nostr but can't zap or save favorites. Any other that have full #nostr integration I should check out?
