Nice, recently I was able to recreate some of these from my old parts, as well as a castle and the Aquanaut base. I have much more parts from other sets but it's a huge work to find back all parts now they are mixed up with new Lego from the kids.

"It's likely that most are compromised and the public isn't aware just yet."
What do you mean, that an offline generated recovery phrase is likely comprimised without that we know it?
You are talking about booting tails and generating a seed with Electrum without going online? Or also if we use hardware wallet?
Can you explain the last part, not sure to understand properly?
In the golden age of Reddit that was all about this. You follow topics, talk about the most niche interest with the only 10 nerds on earth that care about it as much as you do and never ask for anyone name, age or wherever they are coming from.
Fdroid version pulled from github with obtainium. I tried to enable the push notification with my Nextclould as backend (Nextpush) it connect but never get any notification.
I'll but right now no notification.
Any reason nostr:npub1kvaln6tm0re4d99q9e4ma788wpvnw0jzkz595cljtfgwhldd75xsj9tkzv? FYI I've a Poco F5 Pro
Do you guy get notifcations from nostr? Neither Amethyst nor Primal give me any. In Amethyst I must check the tab when I see a dot.
Let me know I might switch to it instead of Alby.
It's 0.94NGN per sats, almost one to one. Perfect time to switch for Bitcoin sats, no need to change the price lists and price tags in stores.
Welcome to the cold club.
I need another ibuprofen...
In some cities yes, but not in my town, I have "only" 300/30Mbit/s and it cost 50% more than the 10Gbits... Some 10Gbits offer start at 40-50€ per month during blackfriday or chrsitmas sales.
It's basically a gimmick as even the provided router barely reach 6-7Gbits, which is already way too much for most users anyway.
There is even a provider offering 25Gbits symetrical, the monthly cost is the same than 10GBits (about 70€ per month) but you have to buy your own hardware and the cheapest compatible switch is more than 700€ + some 250€ one time setup fee for the 25GB fiber. So you really need to be an enthousiast homelab amateur.
By the way I have an FTTH to ethernet converter that I don't use anymore, if you can use FTTH but I see VDSL so not sure you could use it, depending on your service provider option.
If interested it's a TP-Link MC220L with a TL-SM321B (1000Base-BX WDN Bi-Directional SFP Module).
Nobody want it in Switzerland because it's limited to 1Gbit/s but all provider offer 10GBit/s now.
If you or anyone is interested I can sell it for cheap, I have to check shipping cost in EU.

Showtime! I ordered the Flint. As for the modem, I'm thinking:
Zyxel VDSL2 17a Bonding and 35b Bridge Modem [VMG4005-B50A-EU01V1F]
Plain and simple, any objections?
I have a 250mbit downstream connection and I won't upgrade anytime soon. We got 1GBit fiber available but I don't need that much bandwidth atm. I won't add an additional AP at this point neither but I'm intrigued by Loops setup and will upgrade in the future.
The Flint looks nice, I never heard of it, let me know how it is as I might need to replace my WRT1900 anytime, it has already some fan issues, I must be ready to replace it anytime.
Bitcoin is more than just a digital currency; it's a movement towards a more open, transparent, and equitable financial system. Whether you're looking to invest, transact, or simply learn, there's never been a better time to get started with Bitcoin.
Bisq 2 is open-source software featuring a trading protocol called Bisq Easy, designed to help newcomers easily navigate the process of buying their first Bitcoin.
Welcome aboard!

The main issue with bisq that prevent me to use it is that I need to let a desktop pc run 24:7 (to be making offer, taking is always to expensive), while I would prefer to run it on a server with access through webUI.
Is it the case with bisq2?
My fiat job's boss invited me to review my career and discuss possible progression for it.
I'm not sure how to explain that I gave up on this career and my only hope to have any future is #Bitcoin .
I cannot wait to see the app on the discover page of nostr:npub10r8xl2njyepcw2zwv3a6dyufj4e4ajx86hz6v4ehu4gnpupxxp7stjt2p8
Imagine how many:
1) Spend all on Steam when it was accepted as payment for games
2) Sold all when price spike to 100$ (or any other significant amount)
3) Lost their wallet
ETH ETFs haven't even start trading yet. It might push the whole market to a significant new ATH, not just barely compensating for inflation ATH as we got so far.
I use a Pixel 7 with GrapheneOS as daily driver, it's doing the job very well even if it's the perfect phone (spoiler: there is no perfect phone).
Also if it pumped because of US politics, it's yet another example that US have still way too much influence on Bitcoin (and crypto) as well as the whole finance in the world. Hopefully moving to the Bitcoin standard will reduce this influence and spread it out to other regions and populations.
97% on my side, tick tok.
Mine is at 78.9%. Manually installed Bitcoin node on a MiniPC i7 16GB with Ubuntu server.
Who will be first?
So more or less, the less money it earn, the more productive you are. Makes sense. In the end we all dream to get paid well for doing Nostr and Bitcoin stuffs all day.
Is it wise to have all on the same machine, from a security point of view?
Sure LinkedIn is also on the way but there is still some real content in some business, but I mostly hate LinkedIn and dream of the day I don't need to maintain it just to keep my chances in the job market, free from my fiat job, free from this shit show.
Google is much more complex, they offer uniques services (basically Google maps and Android) that are super hard to replace, but the price we pay for it is also huge in term of personal data given away. So I hope we can achieve our independance from Google for more than niche people but I don't see it coming soon unfortunatelly.
p2p is how internet was supposed to be, but it turns out most people are not able to think this way, not able to maintain their device propelly, not able to manage password and acces securely. They get used to have everything brought to them and that it magically works immediatly and when it don't, mostly because they fucked up something, they want to click a button or chat with somene (a bot) to solve their issue within minute.
Good luck shifting this mentality, educate back and give back control to the masses, they are not ready for it because they have no time for that, and they have no time because they are trap in fiat jobs and trap using apps that suck up all their remaing free time they have, which is accepted because anyway their remaing energy is so low to do anything more complex.
Hopefully Bitcoin can free up more and more to slowely get their on the long term.
Ok when I use my Lightning Address from BTCPay, Amethyst don't know that I got a zap, with LNbits it does (but Primal users cannot zap me), I set back to Alby for now but I might try again.
Take a look at the notes from nostr:npub12262qa4uhw7u8gdwlgmntqtv7aye8vdcmvszkqwgs0zchel6mz7s6cgrkj and I have a few that I discovered myself 🐶🐾🫡
Is the node on which we are connecting LNbits at risk? Or just the risk that a paid invoice is not really paid?
LNbits is the most powerfull tool I know for using bitcoins on Lightning, would be a shame to give up on it.
BTCPay Server is also amazing and fit for serious commerce but lack a lot of functionalities, especially with boltcard and Nostr zap support. And it had critical vulerabilies too where node found was at risk, so I'm not sure it's much better (from my non-dev point of view).
#LNbits #BTCPayServer
It was already hard enough to move people from WhatsApp to Signal (and most just do both) and now we must start all over again?
Does it really matter if everything is open source? If something is done wrong it must be highlighted by someone, anyone.
Otherwise what are the options? SimpleX? Threema? Briar?
What is the risk and why?
