#safebox to #safebox defaults to untraceable cashu payments over nostr via #nauth - not lightning

Social networks were meant to unite us. To connect people, ideas, movements. And for a while, they did. But somewhere along the way, something broke. The same platforms that once promised freedom chose a different path: control, manipulation, and data centralization. What started as tools for connection became instruments of control. The platforms we once trusted (social networks, messaging apps, cloud services) turned into chokepoints. Centralized. Fragile. Easy to pressure. Built not for freedom, but for compliance. Every node of control is a point of censorship. Every server, a source of surveillance. When speech depends on permission, it’s no longer speech. It’s submission.

A Way Out.

Encryption is not just technology, it’s a political act. A gesture of resistance. Over the years, new social networks and messaging platforms emerged, promising freedom. Many failed because they relied on intermediaries: corporations, servers, gatekeepers. CEOs and companies are points of control. They can be pressured, censored, compromised. True freedom demands a system where middle-men are minimized, our trust is rooted in mathmatics, and privacy is cryptographically guaranteed, not a policy written by lawyers.

A New Hope.

Open Source projects like Linux and Bitcoin have proven that open, distributed networks of people can build systems the world can count on. Systems based on rules, not rulers. Systems that can resist attack. Nostr builds in this same spirit, creating a network where speech can't be silenced, no matter where you're from or who you are.

Built on Nostr's open network, White Noise emerges from a deeply held belief: you have the right to speak freely. We're building the world's most secure messenger, one that protects your conversations and your communities and leaves no metadata behind in the process. We run no servers, we collect no data, we have no rulers.

White Noise Is:

- Encrypted by default: Strong, modern end-to-end encryption (E2EE) is standard, not hidden in a settings menu. Our team has no access to any keys at all.

- Private by design: Your identity (or identities) are yours. White Noise doesn't need your phone number, email, or any data about you.

- Decentralized: Built on Nostr's global network relays. Data always remains portable and uncaptured; no single entity owns or controls your data or the network.

- Resilient against coercion: Open-source governance ensures no one can unilaterally alter terms of service and zero data retention means we can't be forced to give up private data.

We Believe in Building

1. A world where Privacy is a Right, not a privilege for the technically elite.

2. Tools that prioritize usability, without compromising privacy.

3. Open protocols, over closed platforms.

4. Trust through transparency.

Make some noise. Protect out silence.

(Stay tuned)

These fucking Feds want your vocal distaste for bullshit bank laws to be evidence of a crime.

Saying money laundering is a bullshit law that shouldn't exist doesn't make you guilty of doing anything.

The Bank Secrecy Act can suck my balls bitches. Its called freedom of speech.

I think there are some cashu implementation issues. They had a provider issue. The deductions of sats is an estimate with the difference being refunded. Pay per query is coming with cashu. This is very early. I have high hopes for this.

Hey nostr:nprofile1qqsgha3fk023ng8c4quszdayghqwkt6l9d9ga4c3280gnqz3aqqx7ycpzdmhxue69uhhqatjwpkx2urpvuhx2ue0alqv9d I keep trying to test your chat. Big believer in what you are building.

I paid multiple nip60 lightning invoices from multiple wallets that confirm payment but the funds never appear in the routstr wallet. Routstr says payment failed after multiple checks.

History tab shows nothing.

The non nip60 wallet accepted payment and shows in history but doesn't show as available for API keys. The migration to nip60 then worked and the sats are available for an API key.

The API key was made. The API key error 401 when put into pyRoutstr client and network errors when attempting to refund.

Nostr offers you the power to crypotographically sign every action you take. Amber lets you see and control every action your nsec signs.

Use #Amber to create new nostr keys pairs ( npub/nsec ) independent of any nostr social client.

Amber is a dedicated android app for making nsecs, storing multiple nsecs, selecting permissions and signing with your keys ( nsec ).

This is latest onboarding flow in Amber. Then you use Amber to sign into every other nostr client. Amber keeps your nsec safe on your device and never in any client. You can control every action you take.

As you can see, you can also import your current nsec into Amber and then logout of your social clients. Using Amber to log back into them so as to not have your seed live on multiple clients.

When logging back into #Amethyst, you would select log in with Amber. Amber opens automatically and you select your permissions.

I had a interesting and long coversation with a developer

Real estate guys just can't imagine not doing real estate. My guy here just bought a $200k building for storage because the shell value of the building is over $400k.

In his mind he made $200 buying it. There entire world is based on their relationship with a bank. I kept pressing whether he felt there was a run to the exits but I think that becomes an impossible scenario in his mind.

He said he has some equity in another company he has never pulled and wants to chat about it. Otherwise these guys aren't liquid other than rents despite having millions of dollars of assets they have to maintian.

He sees a doom loop in the local tax valuations od commercial vs. What the market will buy the property for.

I see it as there isn't a way for tenants to keep paying inflated rates because of underlying economy. With vacancies someone has to blink. If values drop, cities turn to homeowner to make up the tax shortfall... who don't have a dime to spare. City goes to shit..tenants leave, more vacancies, less tax, more shit cycle.

Hey, just testing routstr.

Generate new nsec

use nip60

create lightning invoice

pay

sats show in wallet

see provider not avilable error, no models are present to select. No providers to choose and no results from simple searches.

in chat do one word test

deducts 50 sats

Shows no provider error

settings doesn't show any models available

go to api keys

generate new api

add max remaining in wallet

says generating

sats get spent

no history of spend in wallet

no api keys given

same issue occurred when turnes off nip60

no providers error, no providers to choose

sats get spent

no results

no api keys

Invest sats into anon server

Run open source LLM on server

Provide open source LLM model on Routstr

Seems like a fun and interesting way to generate passive #satsflow.

I need to learn how to do this!

I like it. I was always a fan of Sparrow Server. So that was a fun fork. I like terminal GUI. Feels punk.

Running Ashigaru Terminal on a thinkpad looks the best. The start9 sideload was just dropped by Jordan of misfits

It doesn't look as clean in the display as it works as a browser start9 style but maybe thats just my thinkpad

I set up Ashigaru Terminal on the start9 for headless server constant mixing. I also set it up in a tmux session that runs on boot on the laptop.

I liked sparrows ux for whirlpool back when. The samourai wallet didn't show as much fun details. The OG whirlpool cli was better but didn't have what Sparrow had. RoninDojo then took the whirlpool interface so far that I removed whirlpool cli and stopped using sparrow ux for it.

Sadly the Ronin crew removed all whirlpool like sparrow. Running whirlpool on a 24/7 server is the best way to get as many remixes as possible.

Back when, I ran two implementations at the same time using odd and even derivation paths, mixing the same wallet in Sparrow and on whirlpool cli off my same node.

I wish there was an ARM64 version not just x86 because Ashigaru Terminal would be perfect to run on a ubuntu server raspberry pi and not have it on any other sever.

Great to have this program back. One of the best in Bitcoin. So much functionality in the post mix tools. My favorite being "mix-to".

Claiming Ashigaru Whirlpool can steal funds is not quite correct. If I grant you your claim, then what you propose is more that the coordinator potentially charge a different fee than the 5% of the pool size when the USER initiates a Tx0.

The coordinator can't simply sweep a user's wallet as your claim of potential theft seems to imply.

If the Scode function of alternate fees was removed, by what mechanism does the coordinator have to charge a different fee than what is displayed in the terminal?

I think it had to do with that originally they were just wallet devs. They had registered some companies long ago under their real names and had some funding. Over time they developed better and better tools. One thing is that they haven't broken any laws though. So if I was to start a comany and have lawyers tell me I am not breaking the law and the regulators say I don't need a license then there really I wouldn't need to be anon. Their statements in public are protected speech in the USA. So code as expression, statements and expression and money as expression are all protected by the constitution. Saying provocative things or making tools the state doesn't like is the whole point of the constitution. The exploited a loophole and are being punished for it.

The main issue is the prosecution of Samourai devs. If they lose this case it is a defacto ban on self custodial tools. The Bitcoin community is sleep walking into jurisprudence that lays the groundwork for holding developers of FOSS reaponsible for the actions users of the code take. Essentially the equivalent of making Google responsible for actions users take after making search. It is absurd but the confusion lies is applying flawed comparisons to new technology that threatens state hegemony.

Is the CLI up to date? Would like to #sfebox in the terminal!
