How do you Nostr? What clients or apps do you use on a weekly basis?
Discussion
I use Amethyst and Snort as my daily drivers, but I also use Primal a couple times a week. I use Zap.stream and NostrNests.com every day for my "other stuff" fix. I use a lot of other Other Stuff apps too, but they're not on the weekly basis yet.
I also use Nostr Connect and Alby for my NIP-07 browser extensions.
Amethyst on my phone, primal on a desktop to zap.
Primal on Android and Nostter.app on PC.
I like pinstr.app too but it has a bug that do not allow me too add new pins.
Primal Damus Nostur
What's your favorite feature for each one? I've never used Nostur and I have less than 2 minutes play time with Damus.
Honestly I can’t say, cause I was never drawn to micro blogging and image-first ui is my kind of thing. Feature of Nostr is decentralization and zaps are awesome too, would probably just use Damus but Zaps in Primal do work
And Nostur is an attempt to image first ui but everything is kinda cluttered there, but i do check in cause i want to see how it evolves
Oh ye no bugs is a great feature too so there Damus wins for me. it does crash time to time but it won’t do weird stuff xD
I use nostr:npub18m76awca3y37hkvuneavuw6pjj4525fw90necxmadrvjg0sdy6qsngq955 almost exclusively as a client. I’ve also been using:
nostr:npub1us9uc0sjjg0vyvh7vefgu2a96hx5up5gujl6pqays65hlk4de6hsnwq4g0 nostr:npub1c0rnyyhmdnvg6xkvrrmgf8rxp3r28jtjhad8vmze8rgxf87aed7qlltlvg for listening to #plebs and being a degen in the #casine
nostr:npub1kujg6vxfwajclcu3y7kxf9aewn8u89x2erhwt9usf58yvlytcrvqtpjw3z exploring new content, pretty amazing site. Incredible how quickly you could get up and streaming.
nostr:npub1s4m06xdlu6fuhfhs4m3nhpp8xdpsdprwccdktckkzusfu8qzzprqnfpz6a is my #zap receipt wallet.
nostr:npub1nxy4qpqnld6kmpphjykvx2lqwvxmuxluddwjamm4nc29ds3elyzsm5avr7 for image hosting
NIP-07 makes this all seamless. PV!

Good call on the wallet. How do you like using a Cashu wallet?
I really like it. I transfer my balances to eNuts usually and zap from there. eNuts has npub integration so sending eCash over the protocol is simple, plus, zero fees. I like that you can stack eCash instead of having to pay little lightning fees on small transfers, too.
Do you keep your sats there or withdraw to another wallet where your custody them?
I keep most of what I receive in zaps in the eNuts wallet for zapping on on nostr. If there’s ever a day (a guy can dream) I have a surplus of sats, I’ll transfer to a wallet I own.
There’s also the option of running your own mint, which I plan to do at some point, in which case the lightning backing the eCash would be self-custody.
#damus
#zapstream
#iris
#alby
Possibly not every week but do use #cornychat & #nostrnests if there’s something on and it’s not too late.
💜
I use amethyst & primal daily, I was using Spring daily until it started crashing immediately upon opening anything(sad face) .... satellite & coracle for web, which I just hopped back on today after a long hiatus. Will be back on zapdotcooking & listr frequently very soon. Occasionally freerse, snort, and yakihonne apps. 😊
Primal and Amethyst for me too. Can't wait for nostr:npub1xtscya34g58tk0z605fvr788k263gsu6cy9x0mhnm87echrgufzsevkk5s Desktop app =)
Android #damus is the one I'm excited about. I have failed to talk anyone our of their iPhone for over a year now 😅
Primal is great on Android. Did you try it?
Primal requires you to use their wallet to zap, giving up your name and email and phone number.

No, it doesn't. You can connect any wallet that support Nostr Wallet Connect https://nwc.getalby.com/
You are saying that you are able to zap from Primal App on Android using a browser extension called alby?
You can zap from primal using an external wallet like Alby or even a lightning wallet from your own node like Umbrel.
Yep! That's the beauty of Primal for Android, you can use their wallet if you want to or you can use your own or Alby easy one tap to tap with NWC
I have this person blocked apparently 🤣 But yesz nostr:npub1vxd0dfst8ljvwva2egrpc53ve8ru78v8aaxfpravchkexmfmmu3sqnrs50 is correct, on Android, Primal allows you to use their built in custodial wallet or use Nostr Wallet Connect and connect a wallet from Mutiny, Alby, or use your own node with NWC for LND or Umbrel.
So after I register for Primals Wallet and give my personal information, then I can use a different wallet?
They way you both are describing it is not how I see it in the app. It makes me register right away before doing anything else.
Doesn't make sense have to register first to use a different wallet. Please test the things to see how it works.
Ok this is the confusing part. If you sign in Primal and try to zap, you get that Primal Wallet screen and making you Activate your Primal Wallet.
If you go to Settings and then Wallet, I see what you were saying. You have to Uncheck Use Primal Wallet before you can use anything else
THis is what happens. You need to activate your primal wallet b y giving them personal info

Look the description here:

Alternatively you can connect to an external lightning wallet via Nostr Wallet Connect.
You are confusing primal web with the primal android app. Alby has nothing to do with the app, its a browser extension.
You can have an Alby account too. They are an extension and they provide a custodial ln wallet too.
Hey If you decide to install our Alby extension you will need an invite code, please send us a dm and we will give you one! Thanks for recommending us! 😃

Yes, I use it daily
I rarely see people talking about Spring, myself included. I should try to use it more.
I love it so much... when its working. It's currently crashing from WebView but none of my other pwas are, so I don't want to roll back.
It was great. Now whenever you open an app it will often hang, bring up a notification about native code debugging and then crash 😓
Does nostr:npub1xdtducdnjerex88gkg2qk2atsdlqsyxqaag4h05jmcpyspqt30wscmntxy know about this?
I filed a github issue
Perfect
Thank you all! Spring is on hold in dev terms, but we haven't published any updates that could break it, so something on your system changed. From the issue you filed I see it's related to webview update - I will keep it open and try to google this stuff to figure out if there's a known fix. Thank you.

I only use noStrudel. It does the one thing I want to get out of nostr and that is a Twitter alternative.
Hmm. What do you feel makes it the best Twitter alternative compared to other clients?
Primal and Damus
Gossip, primal on web, nostur, nostr nests, and zap.stream. Starting to explore clients on mobile now.
Amethyst and Primal, Amethyst seems to be getting slower and slower unfortunately.
Amethyst & Primal on mobile.
Nostrudel, Primal, & Coracle on PC.
Mostly Damus, but sometimes primal and iris… I need to spend more time on some of the other clients to experience more of what I can do on nostr
currently a nostrudel maxi on all devices
Amethyst on GrapheneOS!
Primal user here. Also some Amethyst from time to time.
Apart from dogfooding coracle 10 hours a day, occasionally Amethyst and Primal when I need a different angle on things. I use habla to write long form and yakihonne to read long form. And of course zap.stream, corny chat, and nests.
Primal + Alby on PC. On phone I have ZBD but I don't use it to lurk/post
#Primal, #Amethyst and #noscl
Primal only at the moment, I don’t really understand it yet.
Pretty much Amethyst exclusively but I'm working on expanding my horizons.

I primarily access #Nostr via my Chromebook using web clients. I use Iris most of the time as that is what I used to sign up with. I think Snort is pretty much the same thing. I will log in via other clients like Coracle and I found Rabbit interesting in that it puts several things in front of you at the same time.
I have 3 clients on my phone- Amethyst, Primal, and Freerse which I use once in a while. I don't have a preference at this time.
I use openvibe and iris.
Openvibe for android.
Iris for desktop.
These were nostr clients that I find when I use nostr for the first time.
I think, I should change Iris with something else in the future, because sometime it's showing error.
mostly Amethyst and Primal
I use #freerse daily. nostr.band is my regular web client for search and statistics.
Both Primal and Iris on desktop. Can't use anything on mobile phones.
Even on desktop I make a lot of typos from how my hands shake.
I still try, though. I don't give up!!!
Otherwise...how the f*ck will this Glitter Maiden get all her #Ostriches for #Nostriches done?????
how.... HOW????
