You can see it in children - this is just a trend, but instinct is very evident. Little boys couldn't care less what you think, they want their toy and that toy is the only thing that exists in their world ; little girls look straight into your eyes to see if you approve, before playing.

I observed this over and over as a teacher. The instinct doesn't go away as adults - it just gets more options for how it gets expressed.

I’ve been using just water for 6 months or so. I look no different than when I used cleansers and creams, except that a patch of discoloration cleared up, probably due to a healthier skin biome.

Water is the best. Wifey doesn’t wear much makeup - special occasions really - but she uses some fancy stuff made from grapes and other nature at night and she swears by it. And I guess, since the skin is technically an organ, it’ll respond to the stuff it comes in contact with (for better or worse). I’m just glad she doesn’t wear poison to the office 🍇

It's insane the amount of poisons that ppl lather their skin with due to vanity. When I tell ppl that Irish Spring and Dove are pure poison, they just look at me in disbelief, as though I'm making it up. Yet, it's all readily available info.

i do want to look more presentable & sometimes wear make-up. 99% of the time, i am lazy about it. i work in a ranch where i see more cattle than people.

i met my man at 4am while i was helping a heifer give birth to its first calf. both of my arms were inside cow vagina. he’s seen me at my worst so i have not felt any need to wear make-up to look presentable to him.

Its another big psy-op.....stay out of the sun.....lose all the colour in your skin, then go out and buy whatever shade you want and then everything you said. Then there is the lost time, on shopping/testing/trying etc, not to mention the $$$ price tags.

👀 my skincare routine is wash face when wash hair...which is on occasion. My hair is happier and my skin is happier. I also live in the land of humidity. I don't have to moisturize dry itchy skin, but under 65-70% humidity I'm looking for something to slather on. I also drink a ton of water and wear makeup only occasionally for dressing up (it's nice to camoflauge the dark circles that I've always had). But I agree, women's skin care regimens seem to be geared toward selling you products to combat problems caused by other products.

I think to each their own and if a lady wants to hide her perceived imperfections to bolster her confidence, go for it.

all most anyone needs in sunscreen, 30 spf+. Best way to look young is to reduce sun exposure in early age.
