I heard they NEVER present the flag with the golden fringe beyond our borders to other nations. Someone show me otherwise.

America isn't either a Republic or a democracy. We have both, and which of those that legally applies to you depends whether you identify as a state Citizen or naturalize yourself as a Federal citizen (aka the euphemism U.S. citizen).
