i think we're removing the inverted QR codes altogether. there seem to be quite some readers out there which do not support them.

yeah, big codes are a problem too but there's no way around that for a payment path, has to be around 2x2, but many readers don't like inverted and they need that outline area to catch the square properly
yeah, better not compromise on functionality in this case imo. a working QR code is always better than a "beautiful" QR code.
well, you can do pretty things to it but the light outline, and the dark on light has to be the same, but you can replace the square pixels with little circles or whatever so long as they are a reasonable size, and due to the optional level of error correction you can wipe out even (any? or at least the centre) 1/9th of the code on higher levels of error correction and put an icon in there
but i don't think this is really needed for a web interface for a management system, this kind of vanity QR is more of a mobile client thing to wow your nocoiner friends with
For ecash backend user do not have a way to backup in case of SHTF.

Hi, It would be best to be able to see which Cashu mint my Hub is using (in the main UI). Important for a number of reasons.

I like to toggle it to hide wallet balance, but when you close the app and open it again it defaults back to showing it

I ended up going with Wallet of Satoshi. All I really was looking for was a wallet to receive and send zaps on Amethyst.
I was surprised with wallet of Satoshi how all I needed was an email, sent Bitcoin and boom I was ready to start zapping. No verification or anything.
I do keep hearing lots of good things about alby. I'll have to try it in the future but I don't have an online business.
Wow, this is literally the same story as mine. I also ended up using Wallet of Satoshi, it was pretty easy to set up.

Took me a few days to figure out how to wallet connect with Amethyst. not totally ably issue, but press and hold the ⚡ and it will take you to the wallet connect.

The stacker.news NWC doesn't seem to be working. Maybe its an issue on their side though. They have 2 strings one for sending and one for receiving
they do that intentionally for security reasons.
I submitted this one a couple days ago. Payments update the hub’s balance but don’t show up in transaction history.

More API related than Alby Hub, but:
1. Bolt11 decode only works for Alby generated codes, it’d be cool if it worked for any
2. Easy API endpoint to pay an npub or Lightning address
3. Can you figure out a way to make payment splits work on Nostr?
For example: I have a bot that translates content and I want to share any zaps made to that bot with the original content owner
Other than that, keep crushing 💪

The so called “guides” leave a lot to be desired in particular for getting a self hosted hub up.
For someone new to lightning (even though I’m adept at BTC on chain) there has been a lot of confusion on my end especially around sending and receiving channels and funding the channel open via my on-chain BTC.
I had to go to a 3rd party source to watch a tutorial and finally understood how to do it.
While your hub has built in “steps” to finish setup; the UX is not smooth for newbs…it’s smooth for devs and people that have experience with lightning but if the target is adoption of Bitcoin and lightning via Alby…a lot more emphasis to smooth onboarding should be prioritized.
Last point: (it was like 10 days ago when I started this process so forgive me if I’m mistaken) when I first went to create an Alby account to get the browser extension setup, I think y’all asked some KYC questions…I know Primal did, can’t recall if Alby did specifically…if we are trying to build adoption of an anon and private tool like Bitcoin…nix the KYC…even basic thing like email…make it optional and npub/sec only…

Definitely best to wit for official releases. Alby Hub is currently in Alpha testing and is expected to have bugs.
That said, you may have discovered a bug. Any info you can share will be helpful. Why did you have to restart it 3 times?
I could not connect to it over WiFi. I clicked the button and the white light came on and then I could connect to it.
I have a list of 3 or 4 email addresses (my email) and I really don't know which to choose from. Confusing. It slows me down not having any confidence in knowing if I'm in my Nostr account.
where? in the extension? maybe just change the names there in the settings?
no probs apart from initial setup which was my misunderstanding. Its working well - no probs thus far. Only negative feedback is the waiting list for users. I have many people who want to try it!! Thanks again for everything - great bit of kit. All my zaps are going straight to my node! Awesome!

I opened a channel and added my wife on friends & family then we both installed Alby Go. I see our combined sats on my Alby Go, I only want to see my sats on Go not ours combined. then use also an isolated connection for you in your Alby Go.
When I have a "subaccount" (for my son) enabled it is not immediately obvious that some of the sats in my wallet do not actually belong to me. I see the total.
Should I be using a subaccount for my own spending too?
yes, best is to use then subaccounts for everyone to have this separation.
the "main" account will always see everything.
So I create a subaccount for myself, and then send everything that is "mine" to my subaccount?
And then connect my alby account to the new subaccount.
yes, you can use the wallet in the hub to pay an invoice of a sub account.
