I don't think John Wick is a good movie series, but part of me likes them anyway because it's Keanu.

I don’t either, idk what all the hype is about

Screenplay's 3/10, action scenes a 47/10

I mean.

We all agree. But exactly. Keanu revenging his šŸ•!

You don’t think it is good bc you think it is great?!?!? :)

The somewhat realistic gunplay makes it fun.

First one is legitimately good/fun the rest are guilty pleasure

I didn’t mind the first one (only one I’ve seen), but I truly appreciate that Keanu was literally the only choice for that role - a middle-age A-list actor who has spent 20 years or more on the cutting edge of fight-combat. It’s doubtful the film would’ve had much impact with anyone else.

Also I heard they had a 3-day location shoot that couldn’t be changed and Keanu came down w/ stomach flu. They said he never complained, gave his all, and spent his downtime resting and vomiting. Also heard he genuinely makes an effort to hang-out with everyone one his shoots, which is a sign of character if its true.

this kind of sums up how i feel

Keanu likes you too.

That fuckin’ nobody

is John Wick.

Bring back Keanu memes

The part of you that likes him, can i ask ? The obvious question we are all thinking šŸ¤”? šŸ˜‚

The first one, and the fourth ones were OK.

I like them fine, as a fun, action-movie diversion. These are not deep works of art, IMHO

It was strange seeing John Wick in Matrix 4

Hmm. I can't name any recent action movies that are as fun, so I would say it is actually a good movie series.

It's James Bond but without the wokeness.

Sometimes when I’m asked if a movie is ā€œgoodā€; I respond with ā€œit’s entertainingā€.

John Wick is entertaining.

Agree

Let’s bang ā€¼ļø

Take it back RIGHT NOW!

John Wick is a perfect example of failure of society to specifically specify

Duality of humankind

Leaders of eons understand

Keanu is our world example of …

Well damn

I’m flowing

Can relate 🫔

I enjoyed the series and have watch them more than once. But that’s just me, someone who watched all of Steven Seagal’s movies. lol.

I think Keanu isn’t a very good actor, but he seems like such a nice guy that I always root for him.

D:

I dislike the second and third movie but the first has such a great aesthetic and the fourth contains Donnie Yen so it's immediately one of the best actions movies of any given year.

It should have just been 1 movie. The first one is a cult classic.

The series is more about the character than the story.

I liked the first one. going on a murderous revenge driven rampage because someone killed your dog, is the most believable plot line to come out of Hollywood in the last 2 decades.

The first one was great, the rest was entertaining.

I don't think it is bad but for sure overrated

The scene in the last one with the super slow fighting up the stairs -> falling down all the way -> fighting back up way faster was a bit too much for me šŸ˜‚ Sweet proof of work though. The other 3 I really liked 🤩

First take from you I don't like, fair enough

The first one elevated actions scenes forever.

There's a night and day difference pre and post John wick.

Wider shots, less cuts, you can actually see what's going on

But they killed his dog so.. 🤷

I have exactly the same perspective. šŸ˜‚

Glorification on violence. Don't worry, no bullet can hit you if you have the good guy vibes... mmm

Algos have often fed me post on Keanu being a nice guy, helpful, that he went though struggle and much pain but stands strong in all this.

I never met him, hope he is a nice honest man. He played in the awesome Matrix, works in Hollywood, I don't know. Watching violent movies, why do we (I) do it?

How dare you. Reporting this to nostr content mods.

I think it should've been only one film though I like the 4th a lot. The Lous and the Yakuza cameo only helped I'd say

šŸ‘šŸ½

I like the series a lot but I’m more of a Jason Bourne fan.

And I enjoy how Keanu (or his director/producer) knows how to choreograph the fight scenes. They are outstanding - just like in the Matrix series...which obviously has a lot more going for it in regard to glimpses into our current world (says a red-pilled and orange-pilled guy).

They are fine but get progressively dumber lol. The 4th one was beyond stupid.

I liked Nobody more tbh. With Bob Odenkirk.

I enjoyed the first 2 movies. But afterwards it felt like they were just pandering.

I like them like I like spaghetti westerns

JOHN WICK IS GREAT LYN.

4 was awesome

What's there not to like nostr:npub1a2cww4kn9wqte4ry70vyfwqyqvpswksna27rtxd8vty6c74era8sdcw83a? Good Boy doggies, guns, and assassins lol

Firefly is still hard to beat.

Just woke up this morning and made a post about Keanu. A good guy. Here is the info:Keannu Reeves

His father left him when he was 3, his daughter died at 8 months, his wife died in a car accident, his best friend died of an overdose. And through it all, he never lost his shine, his world never fell apart. While filming the movie ā€œThe Lake Houseā€, he overheard the conversation between two costume assistants, and one woman cried because she would lose her house if she didn’t pay $20,000 He transferred the money to her account. On his birthday in 2010 he went to a bakery alone and bought himself a cupcake with a single candle. While he was eating out, he offered free coffee and bread to all customers. This was his lavish birthday. With what he made from the Matrix trilogy, he distributed $50 million to the special effects team because he believed they were the real heroes of the movies. He almost never used stuntmen, except for very special things like stunts, and that’s why he recognized the work of his stuntmen by gifting each of them a Harley-Davidson motorcycle. To this day he regularly uses the subway and other public transport like the bus when necessary because it is the most practical thing, and he is never ashamed. A large number of hospitals claim to have received tens of millions of dollars from him. He donated 90% of his salary to some movies so the production could hire other stars. In 1997, a paparazzi found him on the street, sitting next to a homeless man, listening to the homeless man’s story and having breakfast with him. All the good we know about Keanu Reeves, he didn’t tell us himself but those who benefited from him. He never said anything about it. For all that he’s been through, he could have had a sadder and more pessimistic outlook on life, but despite everything, he’s chosen to be some good out of all the bad. Great role model for many wealthy peoplešŸ™

I loved it but I don't think my wife would so...
