If you like the content that somebody is posting you can send them zaps, which is a fraction of a bitcoin. It’s a way of showing someone appreciation and showing them that you found their content valuable. You can also quote it, and repost it, which is also showing them that you value it because you are exposing their content to your network. You can also like it, the same as on other platforms.
It’s a bit overwhelming at first, but don’t let that deter you. You will also find that there are many people who are willing to help you, without any expectations of something in return. We are attempting to change the paradigm and show the world that people can coexist online, without the need for mediation.
Lastly, bitcoiners are a fun bunch and love to chat about bitcoin. Nostr is not just for bitcoiners. It’s a place where anyone can speak freely about any topic they choose. Just put yourself and your ideas out there, and someone will engage with you. It’s never land, the chocolate factory, the shire, and yellow brick road all wrapped up in one weird and imperfect place. A place for free thinkers, misfits, artists, and bohemians.
