You can use the sats in multiple ways zapping other people , or use them to for paid relays many apps are currently being build for more things like payment for songs to paywalled content but they are your sats now have fun 😁

As far as what to do with your new sats, you can do a lot with them!
- Zap other users who post quality content: if they teach you something or make you laugh, it’s worth a zap! This is the concept of “value for value”
- spend them with merchants who accept Bitcoin (there are more than you think)
- save it for a few years, while you take the time to learn about why Bitcoin is a technologically *better* form of money. In that time, it should appreciate significantly in value against other assets
- have fun 🤙🤙🤙

When you decide you need to have more (because, I mean, who wouldn’t?) you can learn about more secure ways to store them where only you are in control.

It is real bitcoin which can be exchanged for fiat currency (which means the money we already use) but you can do whatever you want with it. You don't have to take any of it seriously and you can keep your sats (bitcoin) within the nostr network if you want. You might improve your experience by using some paid relays which you can access via zapping.
Nostr is about freedom. There are no algorithms controlling what you see and no ads.

It’s a way of showing someone appreciation and showing them that you found their content valuable. You can also quote it, and repost it, which is also showing them that you value it because you are exposing their content to your network. You can also like it, the same as on other platforms.
It’s a bit overwhelming at first, but don’t let that deter you. You will also find that there are many people who are willing to help you, without any expectations of something in return. Sats are real money. Once you get an appreciable amount you should get a cold wallet like a seed signer, generate a 12 or 24 word seed phrase (never let anyone see these words, store them somewhere safe) and move your sats off of WoS onto your cold wallet. The value of these savings should go up quite a lot over a long enough time period.
but, obviously, keep some sats in your zapping wallet too :)
