Two sats tip: go handy and post efforts; you name it: carpentry, tattoo, music, wielding, nails and lashes, skateboarding, chess, cacti, etc. etc.

Big facts. We want people to know about freedom for everyone! It won’t appear that way to “normies” they’d just see people with similar interests to one another and think it’s all group think. Then bounce if they don’t care about Nostr nor Bitcoin. Twitter worked because people didn’t have to know crap about it for them to have a good time
This is true, and in principle, I agree with your original note.
At the same time, I’m reminded that the thing(s) that most people here are the most passionate about are in fact Bitcoin & Nostr, then there’s something good in the authenticity of posting the things you’re particularly excited about
Personally, one of the things about Bitcoin that I like so much, is how it relates to a huge range of “other” subjects. History, politics, finance/economics, human rights, game theory, philanthropy, technology, business, freedom, philosophy, math, privacy, computer science, culture, and the list goes on and on.
The “multidisciplinary” quality of it is precisely why I like and think (and talk 😉) about it quite a lot.
That’s also a main reason that I chose a career in/adjacent to wine. It touches so many other things, and there’s always more I can learn.
Of course, I also see your point. A hyper focused discussion can feel exclusionary, off-putting, or simply not interesting to a newcomer. But I guess I’d urge the newcomer to create spaces and social connections with other people who share their actual interests, or even build clients/tools that serve their own needs.

I don't hate you or dislike you. In fact I somewhat agree with your sentiment - I too would love to see more non bitcoin content here. But the backlash you got was not necessarily what you said but how you said it. People have been pushing for non bitcoin content for a long time now. You're not the first. The vitriol was due to how you approached the topic... screaming at overly passionate bitcoiners to stop posting abt bitcoin is likely to garner the opposite effect 😆.
You've been here roughly as long as I have (I think) - surely you've seen the improvement/changes over the past year. I'm seeing significantly more non bitcoin content now vs a year ago. If you don't, then you're just not following the right people. Because the content is certainly out there.
This is purely a demographic thing, don't try to be interested or talk about things you don't care about THAT will 1000% come across as fake.
It's simply that most people who came here, becuase the people who saw how bad this problem was and had the tools to actually fix it... *were* bitcoiners, and they are excited about #nostr.
Waht I'm getting at is that the solution isn't to stop talking about what you like or posting about other stuff arbitrarily. The solution is to bring other people to this place that aren't bitcoin and #nostr fanatics.
If we just get annoyed with people for liking what they like, we will have exactly zero success in making any change.
