You can control the temperature in each individual room that has an indoor head.

Much more energy efficient than traditional systems as well

Hey Nostr, need some help naming our travel van!

I’m bad at naming things and my wife is even worse, so I’m hoping to crowdsource. Can’t take another road trip this summer without a proper name..

Little backstory on it: bought it during COVID in Ojo Sarco, NM so I’m keeping that part of the previous owner’s business decal since it’s part of its history.

I spent the first summer gutting it, fixing rust, cutting new windows, insulating like crazy (better than my house lol), installing solar and wiring the van for dc&ac, and mounting a back seat I bought in Colorado for the kiddos.

Put in 2 bunk beds with the kids on top so it can slide forward so we have headroom beneath, garage with 2 long slides under the bed that houses the kitchen setup, food and extra supplies.

Behind the drivers seat we have the bathroom cabinet and an upper cabinet for storage.

Freezer between the two front seats so we don’t have to buy meat on the road.

All of the wood besides the thin marine ply was reused from other projects. Definitely did it on a budget so it’s not perfect.

We’ve already had some epic trips in it with our kids and have another coming up in a few weeks, but still need a good name.

I know your question is mostly rhetorical but the short answer is inertia.

When my iPhone dies I will switch over to pixel with graphene but that money has a lot of other uses in this moment (like buying Bitcoin or saving up for a family road trip).

We still had this in the 90’s, just swap the bikes for skateboards.

Basically our domain was as far as our boards could take us, as long as we were home by dinner.

Were there crackheads that bought us beer if we couldn’t steal it for ourselves? Maybe.

Did the cops bring us home in the middle of the night without even having to ask our address? Possibly.

Did we have the freedom to go where the day takes us and learn from our mistakes. Definitely (unless we were grounded lol)

Had a run in with government health department workers today at the farmers market.

Our booth and any other that offer samples and didn’t have a hand washing station for customers were told to tear down their stalls immediately.

Not just stop offering samples, but lose out on hundreds or thousands in sales. There is a communal hand wash station about 100’ away at the bathrooms.

I had this hand wash station set up for months and not a single person used it, so I stopped wasting my time.

It’s not about health is the bottom line.

I took about an hour to slowly break it down, selling the whole time and sold directly from the trailer w no booth til the very end.

My friends who’s farm I sell for started a tiny house on wheels farm store to sell their meat and other local farms’ products as well- 7 days a week in the middle of town.

Smart of them- 2 is 1, 1 is none especially when the govt can pull your permits if you don’t follow pointless rules, and ruin your business.

Sorry just had to vent that to a crowd that might empathize

Just dumped about 10 bags of garden trimmings from clients and the chickens are excited as always.

Hours of entertainment and free food for them!

The whole run is basically a giant compost pile since all the debris is about 12” deep- and it soaks up all overflow from the rain tanks
